The Flash Trailer

An advertisement for the Scarlet Speedster’s spin-off aired during Arrow’s season finale. Disappointed at first because I felt cheated again by The CW but then realized patience is a virtue.

John Wesley Shipp playing the wrongly accused father makes sense especially since Grant Gustin and him look-a-like which debunks my previous speculations that he could’ve been Jay Garrick (the speedster before Barry) or maybe his future self in a Star Trek ’09 fashion since he’s wearing a red sweatshirt on-set. Wally West/Kid Flash or Barry Allen’s future grandson, Bart/Impulse could possibly show up farther down-the-line considering time-travel is going to be apparent. Plus Wally’s yet to be love interest/wife, Linda Park appeared at the end of “Three Ghosts” when the Particle Accelerator malfunctioned.

Barry working with Star Labs to uncover his abilites’ extences bares the same structure as the nineties series. Catlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) who becomes Killer Frost along with Francisco Ramon aka Vibe (Carlos Valdes) could fall into off-putters like that “duo” in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. whiched I’ve stopped watching after the first couple of episodes in the first season (Syke..ugh).

Iris West (Candice Patton) working at a coffee shop instead of interning at a news outlet echoes an insecured girl that converted into a walking pile of angst then selfishness ever put on television. At least Barry already assists the Central City Police Department’s Crime Lab.

Clyde Mardon (Chad Rook) controlling climates means either he becomes Weather Wizard or the producers are possibly setting up his brother, Mark to harness the power. Thought they’d pick someone like Captain Cold for the first incident but it shows TPB (The Powers That Be) aren’t afraid to take big chances but I’ve noticed the network’s budget got much bigger then it used to be four years ago.

I’ll be happy as long as Geoff Johns (writer for the pilot) doesn’t pull a twist like his god-awful Flashpoint storyline where adult Barry preventing his mother’s death in place of Reverse Flash shown here.
