    DK Footage Description

Wizard Univerise has provided a description of the footage that was shown at Wizard World Chicago.

The footage started with a silhouette of a dark figure in front of one of
Batman’s armored vehicles before quickly cutting to Bruce Wayne and Alfred
delivering the brief lines heard in the “Dark Knight” teaser trailer. “Some
people just want to watch the world burn,” advises Alfred before the camera
jumps to Batman in action on the Batpod, the new iteration of his motorcycle. The
action built up as the Joker was seen in full for the first time with a mess of
white face, smeared red lipstick and sweaty, straggly green hair. Apparently,
the clown prince of crime gets arrested at one point in the film, as the montage
presented Jim Gordon (complete in SWAT gear) at the Joker’s booking, saying, “no
prints, no ID, custom clothes, no tags.” The clown smiles with what appears to
be blood over his face from the inside of an interrogation room.Checking back in
with Bruce Wayne, the billionaire playboy has a brief scene with Eckhart’s
Harvey Dent where he says “Rachel’s told me everything about you.”“I truly hope
not,” responds Wayne. The footage sped up at that point into an intense montage
of action, featuring the following clips:

    – The new batsuit rising up from a trap door in the ground and held in a chain
metal case.- Rachel Dawes (played by Maggie Gyllenhaal) close to an unidentified
man either kissing him or being threatened by him as the camera rotates around
    them.

    – The Joker and Batman battling in close quarters (possibly a hospital
room). Batman throws Joker over a table and crashing into the ground while the
clown smiles at him. It should be noted that the Joker was done up in his
    signature purple suit.

    – Plenty of big, bold Batmobile action including a shot where the tank-like
car drives through a wall of flame. In fact, flames were pretty much everywhere
in the footage as it appears Joker does actually make the world burn.- There is
also a shot of a somewhat grim-faced Joker walking across a city street
mercilessly firing a machine gun as well as a television close-up of the Joker
    laughing hysterically.

    – Two major additions to the speculation that Two Face will appear in the
film came in the form of a single shot of a spinning 50 cent piece and the final
image: after the action montage has slowed down, the camera cuts to a bartender
looking at Harvey Dent, whose only onscreen presence is his left shoulder and a
bit of a reddish-purple scarred neck. “Dent! I thought you were dead!” the man
gasps, to which Harvey replies, “Half.”

    Rush Hour III Review

I came back a few minutes ago from the Marquee having seen the third installment, so here are my thoughts. First I’ll start with the positve, certain points the film were funny like the Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan’s musical number and the outtakes at the end were just as funny as the second one.

Now onto the negative, well after the whole Tucker’s payment of 25 million dollars just appearance wise and being the highest paid actor in Hollywood, I was expecting him to be more of the focus then Chan, and that was true, the overplaying racial jokes was overkill and boring. Chan had a subplot that was on the sidelines, there was no balance between the two main characters. The action sequences at the end were way too over-the-top for my liking. Overall, it’s a mildly entertaining flick with a few laughs in it, but that as comical as the previous movie.

    Rating: 2 1/2

    Superman on The Batman

Looks interesting, the voice of Superman and Lois sounded like Tim Daly and Dana Delaney from Superman: The Animated Series and Metallo looked sleek.

    Flash strikes Tonight

Flash Gordon airs tonight on Scifi at 9pm. It will probably suck but I’ll watch the pilot.

A Mother’s Love comes to Town

Kryptonsite has revealed the title for the sixth episode for the upcoming seventh season of Smallville entitled “Lara”.
Cool, an entire episode on Clark’s kryptonian mother, who’s being played by Helen Slater, the previous Supergirl.

    Milo looking to Grayson

After the news about a third Batman movie’s title, MTV Blog is reporting that Milo Ventimiglia, who played Rocky Balboa’s son and is on Heroes has expressed interest in playing Dick Grayson.

It seems to me they’ll skip the whole Robin story arc and just do the origin, Grayson learns from Batman and being a different person then Bruce goes off on his own to establish himself as Nightwing which will lead into the Teen Titans film.

If the story line jumps quickly to Nightwing, they should consider Zack Larez for the part. The man is dark.

I think the only actor who could pull off Dick Grayson AND Nightwing would be James Marsden. He has the Dick Grayson persona in civvies and we know he can play the masked hero as well(he did play Cyclops in X-Men). So far he has been restricted to 2nd string roles, but I think he can shine if given the role of Nightwing.Someone

I agree they should skip straight to Nightwing, but it should be Sean Faris (from 'Never Back Down'). He has the build and the look of Dick Grayson, but could pull off the intenseness (if that is a word) of Nightwing.

    Batman 3 Title?

Batman on Film, reported that the third film after The Dark Knight is going to be called “Shadow of the Bat” and some other news bits.

Judging from the title it seems like their going to introduce Robin, since Warner Bros. is doing Teen Titans with Nightwing in it.

I heard whispers of the possible title a few of the next Bat-Film weeks ago
via “Scissor Puppy,” our good “Friend of BOF.” Now, another FOBOF, who asked to
remain anonymous, shot me an email yesterday mentioning the same exact title…
…SHADOW OF THE BAT. And that’s not all. BOF contributor “Anjow” sent word of
    the following:

    1) A new Joker site will be revealed in September, releasing new images from
    the film.

    2) “See you in December” refers to I AM LEGEND and yet another Joker site
that will be unveiled — as well as the 1st theatrical trailer and other TDK
    goodies.
