Hulk and Iron Man at The Drive In

IESB reports that The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man will shown at the Drive-In movie theater.

Tell your readers that they can get a full night of Marvel Mania at our
local SoCal drive-in theaters. All this week they can catch both The Hulk and
Iron Man in one theater as a double feature for one low price.

Come on, what better reason to pack up the family and friends and head on
    out to the drive-in.

Here’s the kicker, it’s only showing in L.A. Lame, lame, lame, LAME, LAME!

    DiCaprio for Cap?

According to Latino Review, Marvel is also eyeing for Leonardo DiCaprio for Steve Rogers.

Just because Marvel wants him, doesn’t mean they are going to get
him. Studios and production companies put together their wish lists when
they are casting and work their way down the list. I personally believe
DiCaprio is an odd choice. To me, Leo’s tall and lanky figure is perfect
for Steve Rogers pre-super soldier serum but I wonder how they are going to make
Leo look like a bulked up super soldier. Don’t get me wrong, he has
the chops for the role but DiCaprio is awfully busy these days developing ATARI,
FLEMING and a host of other projects over at Appian way.

I agree as the pre-super soldier, nothing against Leo, he definitely has the country boy look for Rogers, but, yes he was bulked in The Departed, but in that movie he still seemed like a kid to me, Captain America is an adult, not a teenager.
Latino Review also reports that Brad Pitt is also in the running, if the Thor deal doesn’t work out. Which I’m becoming a huge supporter.
    Pitt for Cap.

    Incredible Hulk Review

We didn’t have a show last week due to working jobs, but we’re back again to review the next Marvel Studios film of The Jolly Green Giant. There’s also an announcement at the end.

    Punisher: War Zone Teaser

IGN has released the teaser for Lionsgate’s Punisher sequel.

Despite the whole Favreau/Marvel situation, I’m still on board the train. After seeing this mindless action preview, it just confirmed that Hollywood can’t make these adaptations by themselves anymore.

Stevenson didn’t do anything for me, accept for the line he delivers at the end, but that doesn’t save it.

I’m still going, cause I want Frank Castle going on a massive creative killing spree.

    Marvel Doesn’t Want Favreau?

This caught me off guard, that Jon Favreau is reporting on his MySpace page that Marvel is not negotiating to bring him back to direct the Iron Man sequel.

It’s been five weeks since the one and only phone call my reps have gotten
from Marvel. I know their hands are full with the Hulk and I’m sure they will
get into it shortly, as they tell me they intend to. I ran into the Marvel guys
at the Hulk premiere and everyone sounded eager to get to work on IM2.

I am concerned, however, about the announced release date of April 2010.
Neither Robert nor I were consulted about this and we are both concerned about
how realistic the date is in light of the fact that we have no script, story or
even writers hired yet. This genre of movie is best when it is done thoughtfully
and with plenty of preparation. It might be better to follow the BB/DK, X/X2
three year release pattern than to scramble for a date. It is difficult because
there are no Marvel 09 releases and they need product, but I also think we owe
it to the fans to have a great version of IM2 and, at this point, we would have
less time to make it than the first one.”

I pray to God that Marvel is not going to take this major asshole decision. They’re statement is staining of complete and utter bullshit. I’m going to give them the benefit of a doubt, unless Marvel says that to the public their condemning themselves.

    Robocop in 2010

At The Licensing International Expo 2008, they displayed a sign for the upcoming remake of Robocop.

The ironic thing is early in the night, we were watching a bit of the original.

As to the above image, it’s just a promo art, pilled together to advertise the new movie, like the red lens, but the helmet is a little too far down to the mouth area.

    Cap in Hulk?

Letterier told G4, that another Marvel cameo to featured in The Hulk, is the appearence of Steve Rogers aka The Star Spangled Avenger, Captain America.

When the movie comes out Friday, I’ll keep my eyes open for it, there were some easter eggs I missed the first time with Iron Man like Cap’s Shield and The S.H.I.E.L.D. logo in the parking lot.

If Marvel wants to announce the actor they picked to play Rogers in The Green Giant’s film, fine by me.

If it’s not true, I wouldn’t be disappointed, afterall the film is about Banner.

    New Young Avengers Trailer

IGN has released a new trailer for the Marvel Animated Feature.

Not only they have to fight Ultron, but The Hulk as well. Looks good from what I’ve seen.

Bad pun at the end from Iron Man.

    Catwoman (Nolan Style)

Another fan art by Joshwmc, next up is Catwoman.

Second in the new series. Same as before, Painter IX with Wet Gouche and a touch of Photoshop. I’ve based this off my other Catwoman designs but have tried to slim it down further, I keep getting complaints that my Catwoman artworks are too bulky, so hopefully this will please more people. Subtle purples and blues, I didn’t want just straight black, although that won’t happen if they do add the character to the current movie series. At least 12 hours (maybe more) using an image or Marion Cotillard as reference.

As I’ve mentioned on the podcast, I would love to see the cat-burglarizing feline in the next movie.

At first I didn’t like that she didn’t have the goggles, but I realize that with, it hides the actresses’ face and camouflages her expressions.

The white face is off, too Batman Returns-ish and the mask too similar to the god awful Hally Berry version. My direction would be to shorten the ears and leave her with flesh color. Other then that I digg the suit. Very hitchhiking or flight gear. Excellent.

    Harley Quinn (Nolan Style)

This maybe a podcast/news site, but it’s still a blog. I was web surfing I came a fan art of Harley in the Nolan style Batman films.

Third in my illustrative series. Pure Painter IX this time, Wet Gouache and Sponge, no Photoshop this time round. This is based off another Harley Quinn design of mine, I went with a more loser style of clothing, almost pajama like. This were going along well until I realised I accidentally reversed the colours, but I kept it as is coz it was gonna be too much trouble changing them around. Used an image of Kristen Bell as reference, at least 10 hours work.

The image was created by Joshwmc on Comics2Film. As the design goes, I dig it. The hat’s okay, but if your going use this design in a movie, she shouldn’t wear it for every scene.

It seems unlikely will never see Harley on screen, burning the version from the Birds of Prey TV series out of my mind, but it’s nice what could’ve been. Nice touch with the tackhammer, instead of the cartoon mallet.
