SDCC: Avengers – Age of Ultron

I waited until all the indiviual posters were released before talking about the big panel at San Diego International for Earth’s Mightest Heroes’ upcoming sequel.

The first film succeeded my expectations as I’ve briefly mentioned in my previous Update posts. Swarms of Ultron robots definitely tops the Chitauri’s forces. Paul Bettany (Master and Commander: Far Side of the World) certainly got promoted by Marvel Studios to go from being the voice of Jarvis, who’s going to be an actual person who’s loyal to Howard Stark as opposed to his son in Agent Carter to portraying The Vision also Ultron’s son. He’s definitely sporting a modified version of the classic John Buscema yellow and green outfit on the left-hand corner.

James Spader (Stargate) will do a great job from leaked audio from the footage (Ant-Man aswell) shown that got taken down. A somber version of Pinocchio’s “I’ve Got No Strings On Me” (Ultron references) definitely makes the stakes sound very grim especially with Captain America’s shield broken.

I’m still looking forward to this version of Quicksilver with Aaron Taylor Johnson (Godzilla was meh) in the role despite Evan Peter’s suprisely entertaining performance as Pietro Maximoff in X-Men: Days of Future Past (kitchen scene priceless) also an amazement. Josh Brolin’s Thanos‘ over-arcing threat will come to attention when Guardians of the Galaxy hits theatres this week anyway.

Wasn’t thrilled Don Cheadle’s Rhody appearing in the film. He’s such a total tool for stealing an Iron Man suit (War-Machine) for his so-obivious corrupted superior-officier to “get The Senate off his ass” followed by pushover with the general’s double entendre, “you made your country (me) proud” (Red Flag) ‘without question or oppostion later-on. Joss Whedon can give Rhodes his authority (balls) back hopefully.
