With Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit out next Friday, marketing for next year’s big movies are starting to kick off. Most notably Star Trek 2 (or Into Darkness as they call it) and Superman’s reboot.

A new image was an unlockable easter egg on The Dork Knight Declines‘ Blu-ray and DVD.

I’ve been on the fence with this movie. After the pitiful closing of his Batman franchise, I didn’t trust Chris Nolan anymore. However, he recently said in an interview:

“Superman is a completely different character than Batman. So you can’t in anyway use the same template”.

So he seems to understand the differences in character. I understand that Clark Kent (that is if he is the character and not the mask again) is trying to find his place and obviously the U.S. government doesn’t trust him once he dons the cape, but one of my many biggest fears it’s going to be way too overdramatic like the misfired Hulk film. General Zod (Michael Shannon) and Ursa/Faora (Antje Traue) again, the Superman II rehash cloud is still lingering over this.

The trailer implies that once The Last Son of Krypton (please no other relations in future sequels) starts proving himself to the world, things slowly get brighter. If that’s the case, then I’m all on board.

Lastly, instead of throwing out Justice League for the sole purpose to grab Avengers money, Warner Bros. should just do World’s Finest instead:

But no, they rather tease us with a stupid cameo in I Am Legend.
