Samuel L. Jackson: Agent of Shield?

I was looking in Superherohype Forums, for news we didn’t catch, then I found this bit of news from Ain’t It Cool News.com about a cameo appearance in Iron Man from another Marvel hero.

Today, though, he’s shooting scenes featuring an actor who is a set-up for a larger Marvel continuity, and it’s exciting because I’m hoping this character can start showing up in other films, and we’ll start seeing Marvel Studios creating a larger world, one that exists outside the frames of the individual movies. This is a major step towards making that AVENGERS movie we’ve been hearing about. So who’s the actor? Who’s the character?

Sam Jackson. Nick Fury. Count on it.

If this is true, now that Marvel Studios is in charge there starting to build a universe with their films like in the comics, which I’m all for it.

    A Possible Smallville Episode

I bought the Superman/Batman graphic novel that reintroduced Kara Zor-el, to get myself geared up for Supergirl when she shows up on Smallville this season.

I recently picked up Supergirl: Power, this story has caught my eye for some time, where Lex Luthor affects her with Black Kryptonite, during reading, it got me thinking….maybe there might be the possibilty of an episode where Kara gets exposed to either black or red k, runs a muck in Metropolis or Smallville, and Clark has to take her down, like in the book where had to wear the kryptonite ring even though it was affecting him.

Since “Rage”, where Oliver Queen/Green Arrow takes the drug serum, was a nod to the comics when his future sidekick Speedy, hows now Red Arrow, becomes a junky, I could see them adapting this story for the small screen. What do you think?

    Batcycle?

It has been released, first look at the BatCycle from TDK.

It looks okay from Msnbc.com’s video, but hopefully it’ll just be used at the end.

    Fantastic Four 2 Review

I red the script from the first movie in “The Making Of” book before the movie was released. I was disappointed with the theatrical version, the character developments were taken out, and the movie felt thin, recently the extended version was released that had some the important elements back but there was still things missing and left over crap that was’nt needed.

From the news, and the rating on Rotten Tomatoes, I was looking to be mildly entertained but….I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY EVERYBODY IS CONDEMNING THIS FILM TO HELL!? THIS WAS AN AWSOME FLICK! BETTER THEN THE FIRST, AND WAY BETTER THEN SPIDER-MAN 3!

The story was tight and they did’nt overdraw anything. Silver Surfer looked amazing, the mix between CGI and Doug Jones in the suit looked incredible, and Lawrence Fishburne did a good job as the voice. They portrayed Doctor Doom exactly the way he is in the books. Never trust the king of Latveria, no matter what the situation it is.

All the cast did great, Chris Evans did another terrific performance as Johnny Storm and the humorous chemistry between him and Michael Chiklis as The Thing comes through every time.

I was dissapointed with Galactus, but they left it vague, which is good, it doe’snt take away from film. The giant storm cloud could’ve been one out of many entites created by Galactus. This is one of those’s times where I completely disagree with the critics on this one.

    Rating: 7

Robot Chicken "Star Wars" lightspeeds Tonight!

Tonight is the special episode of Robot Chicken, Star Wars Edition airing at 10 and then again at 11:30.

UPDATE: It was so funny, can’t get enough of The Emperor’s phone call, Empire on Ice, Disco Star Wars, and the end credits of Robot Chicken singing the theme.

Looking forward to the 2 part Family Guy Special in November.

    New Batsuit Revealed!

Entertainment Weekly has unveiled the new suit from The Dark Knight.

HOLY SHIT BATMAN, IT’S FREAKIN’ SWEET! It looks more slecker, more battle suit elements, and seems that Christian Bale will be able to move his neck even more then last time. Can’t wait for a teaser trailer, assuming in December from the secret message in the I Believe in Harvey Dent campaign.

    Bizzaro Around Longer?

A quote from an interview with Al Gough at IFMagazine.com, when asked about Bizzaro’s future.

“You are just gonna have to wait and see about Bizarro like everybody else,
but I’ll tell you one thing, he won’t be completely vanquished in the season
    opener like Zod was.”

That’s good to hear news starting to come out about the Season 7 premiere, to which the title I’m assuming is going to be called “Bizzaro” like the last finale “Vessel” and it’s premiere “Zod” last year, Bizzaro beats Clark to a pulp and either Kara or Martian Manhunter will have to save him.

    Supergirl on Smallville

    Found this news from Kryptonsite.com,

    From the official press release:

On SMALLVILLE, the seventh season premiere kicks off with the arrival of
Supergirl, whose name is Kara, as Clark’s (Tom Welling) 19-year-old cousin. She
was born on Krypton and is the daughter of Zor-El, Jor-El’s brother. Kara
possesses all of Clark’s powers and one he doesn’t yet have ?? she can fly! Kara
also has a strong, rebellious streak that puts her at odds with Clark, and puts
her onto Lex’s (Michael Rosenbaum) radar. In addition, she takes a romantic
interest in Jimmy Olsen (Aaron Ashmore).

I talked about this with my older brother Rob on our show Blazin Geeks, that they should introduce some female heroes like Black Canary, who I think will appear since Green Arrow was on.

The thing is Clark knows that he can fly it’s just he refuses to do it, so maybe with Kara in the picture maybe it will force Clark to fly, remember Clark had to be forced to accept his hertiage and destiny.

The banter between Lois and Clark in seasons 4 and 5 was a great addition to the show, looking forward to the humor from “It’s A Hard Knock Cousin’s Life”.

It’s good that there having some form of the Kara/Jimmy relationship, but my only concern is what’s gonna happen to Chloe’s character?

What do you guys think of the idea?
