    Dougherty and Harris Off MOS

    From Variety.com,

As a result, Warner Bros. is now taking pitches for The Man of Steel’s
next outing from other writers — just as the studio is trying to figure out
which actor will don the character’s tights in
    Justice League.

Brandon Routh will likely wear the “S” on his chest again. Legendary
Pictures is co-developing and co-financing the project, which is expected to up
    the action quotient.

    That sucks.

Exclusive Interview: Arkham Asylum Creator, Jack C. Harris

We went to a local convention, Atomicon XI, we got to talk to author C.J. Henderson on monsters featured in one of his books on display “A Field Guide to Monsters”, The Phantom, and The Shadow, but the highlight for us was talking to past Batman writer, James C. Harris, who was featured in yesterday’s Page X, which you could find on AsburyPress.com.

Q: What it was like to be working on Batman?

A: (humorously) “Pretty much what every young writer what’s to work on when they enter the industry.”

He actually started writing Robin stories before moving to Richard Grayson’s mentor.

Q: Who was your favorite villain?

A: “Two-Face. While The Joker is a mystery, and that’s good, you still don’t know that much about him.”

He also enjoyed The Animated Series from the 90’s with their takes on the villain mentioned aswell as Mr. Freeze. He also agreed with me that Tommy Lee Jones could’ve played the role of Harvey Dent justice in Batman Forever, had it not been taken in the direction by Warner Bros. and Joel Schumacher to “lighten it up”.

He was there to promote Castle of the Bat, his favorite World’s Greatest Detective story. An Elseworld story where Bruce Wayne is Dr. Frankenstein along with The Dark Knight as The Monster, kind of like the opposite tale where he becomes a vampire in Crimson Mist.

We went into a long discussion about The Scarecrow and we informed him about what DC was doing in Detective Comics of bringing the physiology back to the character with using hypnosis on his victims.

He was uncredited for the invention of Cyborg’s real name Victor Stone, to which is also a Smallville fan, and a scene that was adapted from the Supergirl comics into the horrible Helen Slater film.

Aside from the majority of DC, he also worked on Spider-Man for awhile with a Black Cat story. Lastly, here’s a picture of me with on one of the most influential people aside from Denny O’Neil on the reinvention on one of the most popular icons we know today.

    Show Tomorrow – UPDATE

We were gonna do the show but Rob has a schedule conflict, so instead of doing it in an hour, we gonna do it tommorrow so we go in detail about the topics.

UPDATE 10/20/07: We did it and the episode is not as good as Episode 3, so I’ve decided not to post it.

    Nick’s Top 5 Zombie Movies

Since Planet Terror came out on DVD yesterday, I’ve made my list of favorite undead films.

    1. 28 Days Later The most scientific horror film I’ve seen.
    2. Planet Terror It’s so outrangous and hotty Rose Mcgowan as Cherry with
      her machine gun leg.
    3. Shaun of The Dead Hillarious.
    4. Army of Darkness funny and scary of the Evil Dead franchise.
    5. Dawn of The Dead (2004 remake) – two things, bad-ass Ving Rhames and gorey.

    Hellboy vs The Universal Monsters?

With the offical website online, more Hellboy news.

    IESB.Net
is reporting a rumor that Dark Horse and Universal Studios are talking about Red fighting the classic monsters in a third one.

He also confirmed that a feature film for B.P.R.D is moving forward
but these plans will depend on the success of Hellboy next year.

Can you imagine Abe Sapien and the Creature from the Black Lagoon going
mano a mano? Or Hellboy vs. Dracula vs. The Wolfman vs. Frankenstein? I’m sold,
    bring me my monsters!

    Supernauts Calls on Zod Rumors

Supernauts from Comics2Film.com, made an open letter to Bryan Singer not use a really used Superman villian since this rumor has popped up yet again.

Hey, I liked Superman Returns. It was a big fat blatant homage (some
might say rip-off) to the Donner movies, and that was cool with me. But if
Singer wants to prove that Superman is relevant in this day and age, here’s an
idea: how about doing something original? Or to put it another way, how about
    doing something relevant?

When I saw the trailer for Superman Returns, and I heard Marlon
Brando’s voice and the John Williams music, I won’t lie – I got a little teary
eyed. Hell, I got a little teary eyed the first 20 or 30 times I watched it. I
love Superman and Superman 2, and I’m glad that Bryan Singer holds them in such
high regard. But for god’s sake, come up with a new idea already!

Braniac, Bizzarro, Parasite, Doomsday, Prankster, Toyman, Mxyzptlk,
Metallo, Darkseid, Mongul. There’s 10 villains we haven’t seen in a Superman
movie. I got that list from Wikipedia, Mr. Singer. It’s not hard to find someone
for Superman to fight that we haven’t seen already. I know I can’t speak for
every geek out there, but I think it’s safe to say that most of us like to have
a big toybox with a lot of selection. We don’t like to keep on playing with the
same toys over and over… and if I had such a huge selection of toys to choose
from, would I only play with the same two over and over and over? No, I would
not. So why should you, Mr. Singer?

A Land of the Lost Movie – UPDATE

I remember the TV show from the 90’s in my childhood, news has come out from ScreenRant.com that their doing a movie, unfortunely it’s gonna be a comedy starring Will Farrell and get this, their paying him 100 million dollars to star in it.

This has Slapstick Comedy written all over it! This is gonna be as worse as Talladega Nights.

UPDATE 10/22/07: When we did Episode 3 we found out that the budget was 100 million.
