    Al Pacino in Bond 22?!

This article really caught my attention today.
A rumor is being reported on Cinematical, that Bond will confront the head of the terrorist group (cough S.P.E.C.T.R.E. cough) in Bond 22, and that it will played acting great Al Pacino.

Here’s part of what the scooper wrote in to AICN: “But the big news that he
leaked was that Al Pacino would be taking part in filming. I was a little
shocked as the cast has been revealed already, but he said Pacino would play the
head of the terrorist group introduced in CASINO ROYALE and QUANTUM OF SOLACE.
Al is said to come to Pinewood in April-May to film what is said to be a brief
cameo.” Hmmm. Pacino? As the big villain in a Bond film?

If this false, I’ll be disapointed, like that rumor of Jean-Claude Van Damme being in Rush Hour 3.
“And Justice for All” is my favorite Pacino movie, I can’t get enough The Court Room scene at the end, where he calls the corrupt judge and defendent off.
It would be so cool to see him as a Bond Villain.

    Behold The Abombination

CHUD posted images of figures from the new Hulk film. One them is what Abombination will look like.

Yes I know he doesn’t have the ears, but at least the feet look the same.

Looks like a Hulk transformation gone wrong, where the muscle grows first and then the bones, where as Banner’s where everything excelerates all at once.

But still with the footage description two posts below, I can’t wait to see a trailer.

    CW Wants More Smallville!

My God this News is Friggin Sweet!

According to Kryptonsite, that The CW wants five more episodes of Smallville, to which in total, makes 20 episodes this season.

The striking writers had meetings yesterday to discuss the terms of their new
contract with the studios, and if the WGA members vote to end the strike, a lot
of writers could be back to work as early as Wednesday.

But that’s not the only good news we have for you! The CW wants five more
episodes of Smallville, bringing the total number of Season 7 episodes to 20…
just two shy of the usual amount. Now, this is assuming that the strike will be
ending and that there will be time to film all of those segments… but things
    are looking good.

As always, we’ll keep you updated!

    In your face, Rob.

    Pete’s Back

Kryptonsite has released images with the return of old friend of Clark’s, Pete Ross.

It will be nice to see Pete rekindle with the gang, and from the other photo’s meet Clark’s cousin, other then that I’m not interested.

    PETE aka STRENCHIGY MAN?

C’mon, they could’ve come up with a better story, worthy of a character from season’s past to come back for.

    Shellhead/Green Goliath Footage Descriptions

From AICN, apparently footage from Hulk and Iron Man were shown at the Toy Fair in Germany.

    Here the descriptions.

For IRON MAN we saw the scene in which Tony Stark tests his Iron Man suit for
the first time (in his garage). Of course this almost goes wrong. He speeds into
a tunnel, gets out in the open and flies past a Ferris wheel. A malfunction in
his suit makes him go higher and higher, almost leaving the stratosphere and
running out of air. Then the suit goes completely dead and Stark falls to the
earth. Just in time he manages to get his suit working again, making a mess of
    the traffic in the streets.

A part of this sequence was in the Super Bowl spot, looks to be a funny sequence, like when Peter Parker tried to swing the first time in the Spidey flick.

It was great to see the first footage of the INCREDIBLE
HULK… What we saw looked like the first official trailer. The scene opens with
Edward Norton meditating. We see images of a lab, experiments, Banner escaping
from the (Russian?) military (led by William Hurt and Tim Roth), running in the
streets, kissing Liv Tyler, guns, shooting, more running… The ‘trailer’ ends
with Abomination walking towards Hulk. Remember the end of Rocky III? Apollo
Creed wants to hit Rocky in their friendly duel? That’s exactly the way the
trailer ends. Abomination wants to hit Hulk. Hulk wants to hit Abomination, but
before it actually happens the trailer is over. Abomination looks like a Hulk
with the Voldemort face from the first Harry Potter movie. A really mean motha.
He sure is a great opponent.

The “Norton Mediating” sounds like a nod to Peter David’s Return of the Monster story, where Banner uses yoga skills to control his anger.

Hulk v.s. Abombination, Rocky style? Sounds cool, the fight scenes in that franchise, minus Rocky 5, where always compelling that you just can’t get from a real live boxing match.

    The Strike is Over!

    WOO-HOO!
Confirmed by Variety, The writer’s strike is officially over.

“It is an agreement that protects a future in which the Internet becomes
the primary means of both content creation and delivery,” they said. “It creates
formulas for revenue-based residuals in new media, provides access to deals and
financial data to help us evaluate and enforce those formulas, and establishes
the principle that, ‘When they get paid, we get paid.’ ”

Verrone and Winship said in the message that the time has come to end
the strike and cited the “enormous personal toll on our members and countless
    others.”
“As such, we believe that continuing to strike now will not bring
sufficient gains to outweigh the potential risks and that the time has come to
accept this contract and settle the strike,” they said. “Much has been achieved,
and while this agreement is neither perfect nor perhaps all that we deserve for
the countless hours of hard work and sacrifice, our strike has been a success.”

The finalized deal came a week after the Feb. 1 breakthrough in informal
talks between WGA leaders — Verrone, negotiating committee chief John Bowman and
WGA West exec director David Young — with News Corp. president Peter Chernin and
    Disney topper Robert Iger.

Now will have a full season 7 of Smallville.

    Guimero on Doctor Strange?

Empire Online is reporting that since there is no deal for Del Toro to direct The Hobbit, he tells the magazine that he expressed interest in taking on the task of bringing The Sorcerer Supreme to the big screen.

“I talked with Neil Gaiman [about writing it],” he tells us. “I said,
that’s an interesting character because you can definitely make him more in the
pulpy occult detective/magician mould and formula than was done in the Weird
Tales, for example…the idea of a character that really dabbles in the occult
in a way that’s not X-Filey, where the supernatural is taken for granted. That’s
    interesting…But I wouldn’t use the suit!”

Comic book geeks will remember, of course, that Dr Strange
played quite an important role in Gaiman’s Elizabethan twist on the
Marvel universe, 1602, making him a good choice of screenwriter for
this. Of course, the Hellboy 2 director has a ton of projects on his dance
card before he can think about getting to this.

That sounds like an explosive creative mix, I would love to see Guimero direct a Doctor Strange film.

    Mortal Kombat Remade?

According to Movie Hole.net, that they’re considering to reboot the Mortal Kombat franchise, after the last one was such a train wreck.

mink says the project isn’t so much a sequel as it is a “re-envisioning(if
that is a word) of the Mortal Kombat franchise from top to bottom. Todays
audience is a savvy involved group so the film must be A plus plus in every area
in order to capture the magic of the first film. It is taking the entire concept
to the next level across the board in every area visual design, story, cast, FX,
photography and most importantly the fighting scenes. The original Mortal Kombat
game was born a child of many visual loves by the creators at Midway so this
latest version borrows heavily from that pioneering spirit and must be thought
out and executed at the highest level in order for it succeed in today’s market
place. This is no overnight task.”

Though the IMDB has Christopher Lambert returning as Rayden, mink says
    casting hasn’t begun yet.

If that’s true fine, but keep Lambert on a leash this time, and don’t let him crank out laughs.
That was problem I had with the last Blade film, where Goyer let Ryan Reynolds adlib too much.
