    Oliver Returns Once Again

E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos is confirming that Justin Hartley will return as Oliver Queen for the final season.

Hartley has a talent holding deal with The CW network, and his recent
pilot, Austin Golden Hour, was not picked up as a series.

It is said that Oliver’s story arc will delve into his past rather than
his superheroic identity as the Green Arrow.

I’ve read the feedback when this news came out last night, and with any DC character that comes on the show, once again people are divided.
On the negetive side, some people are starting to assume that he’s going to be in every single episode.
There’s also divison for Season 6, which I still hold to this day, despite the dreadful Lexana relationship, the wedding, and the fake pregnancy, that was the best season of the series, an epic season premiere, The Zoners, Green Arrow, The JLA, Martian Manhunter, and the arrival of Bizarro, need I say more?
I was a little puzzled during the beginnings of the Veritas storyline that Oliver was not present, since his parents were heavy involved in the originization, but I think that’s going to be his arc for the remainder of series, not mingle with Lois again, as fans are assuming, but that door is permanently closed.

    First Hulk Review

Scifi Movie Page has posted the first review of The Incredible Hulk.

With The Incredible Hulk Marvel has done it again. Like the recent Iron
Man, Incredible Hulk is a definite Saturday matinee crowd-pleaser. Kids – and
their parents – will love it. Unfortunately the only thing standing in the way
of Incredible Hulk becoming the summer hit it deserves to be will be audiences’
negative memories of the 2003 original. Well, forget about all that: The
Incredible Hulk may ultimately be as brainless as its main character, but it
really is “incredible” this time around. And Hulk smashes stuff too…

Their intitled to their opinion, but I think enough time has passed since the disapointing previous.
As long as Hulk does alot of smashing, audiences will be happy.

    Symbiote = Venom

Yesterday I managed to watch “Group Therapy” of Spectacular Spider-Man, which was awsome, alot of stuff went on, the symbiote takes Parker out for a test drive, which happened in the comics when the suit was addicted to Spidey’s abilites, Eddie Brock going off the deep end, and to top all that Aunt May has a heart attack, which Peter didn’t know from the introduction of Anna Watson, who isn’t a bitch, until MJ tells him.
Anyway CWKids released a description for this week’s awsome lookin episode.

In “Intervention,” Peter Parker finally gains enough self-awareness to realize
the alien symbiote hasn’t simply bonded with his Spider-Man costume, it’s taken
over his life! But when he tries to remove it, the symbiote fights back.
Is it a war Pete can
    win?

As mentioned above for the preview, the symbiote and Parker have physlic trip in his mind as Spidey’s wrapped in a cocun. The elements that should’ve been in the live action version.

    Universal on Fire

Suprised when I read this story on one of the movie websites, IESB reports on the damage the fire caused to the studio.

The fire erupted on a streetscape featuring New York brownstone facades at
the 400-acre property. It then destroyed a King Kong attraction, the courthouse
square from “Back to the Future” and a streetscape featured in “Spider-Man 2”
    and “Transformers.”

The blaze also gutted a building housing 40,000 to 50,000 videos, but Universal Studios President and
Chief Operating Officer Ron Meyer said there were duplicates of
    everything.
    The theme park reopened Monday.

The blaze burned for more than 12 hours but was contained to the back
lot, which straddles a pass through the hills between Hollywood and the San
Fernando Valley. Nine firefighters and a sheriff’s deputy had minor
    injuries.

None of the 30 sound stages on the lot were damaged, and the New York
streetscape will be rebuilt, said studio spokeswoman Cindy Gardner.

I wouldn’t be shocked if the Kong set was from the Jackson film, but would be if it was the Fay Ray version, sucks about the Back to the Future set too. But I’m glad that no one was killed.

    WB’s 2009 Updates

IESB has reported Warner Bros’ plans for their future movie projects for next year and after.

So which WB films are contenders to get on the fast track for Summer 2009?

I don’t know how many films in total are attempting to push forward but we
have heard of a handful of potentials I’ve listed below. The first is David
Goyer’s SUPERMAX: GREEN ARROW. A “Green Arrow goes to prison” film written by
Justin Marks. According to our sources, the film has been renamed to just GREEN
ARROW, I like that a whole lot better. I am hearing with the success of Marvel’s
Iron Man, considered a second tier comic book character, certain execs over Warner
Bros. believe it’s the right time to introduce the world to Oliver Queen, his
bag of trick arrows and green spandex.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m still against the studio make this type of movie for TV, introducing the character to general audiences like that after the character has gained popularity on Smallville, you think they would option for a movie of The Emerald Archer.

The second contender for a WB summer 2009 release is BILLY BATSON AND THE LEGEND
OF SHAZAM directed by Peter Segal and written by John August. This superhero has
been looked at with more interest in the last few months due of the success of
    Iron Man.

I know that could be just the working title, but still I think it sucks, just call it Shazam.

While talking exclusively to Peter Segal this past weekend during his press
tour of Get Smart, the IESB learned that a few years back Segal had been
attached to Jonny Quest. But, what intrigued me the most was that Peter had
already read the most recent draft from Dan Mazeau and is quite up to date on
the project. To take it a step further, he agreed that the new script was
“quite good.” and we even talked about who would make a good Roger “Race” Bannon
(Jonny’s Body Guard), I threw in George Clooney’s name but Dwayne “The Rock”
Johnson was the actor that he likes for the Bannon role.

After the word of mouth of Speed Racer, critic and box office flop, Jonny Quest is starting to become mediocre.
So it seems to me Warners is in a pickle and their making more stupid desicions.

    Ferrigno is The Hulk

Cinematical confirms that not only will The Hulk speak in the upcoming film, but Lou Ferrigno is going to provide the voice of The Green Golitah.

Back at New York Comic Con earlier this year, there was this very odd
moment during The Incredible Hulk panel when Lou Ferrigno surprised everyone in
the crowd and director Louis Leterrier had the old, TV Hulk scream out a little
“Hulk smash!” for the fans. Half-jokingly, Leterrier then said Ferrigno would be
the voice of the Hulk in the new film. Those of us in the crowd didn’t really
know what to think: Was Leterrier being serious? Were they just messing with us?
Well, according to a new interview over in Variety, it would appear that
Ferrigno is, indeed, voicing the Hulk. When asked if we “finally get to hear a
good ‘Hulk smash!,’” Marvel’s Kevin Feige and producer Gale Ann Hurd noted,
“Yes. After five TV seasons, several TV movies and the first feature, Hulk will
    speak.

Thank you once again Marvel Studios. Ferrigno, in the 90’s cartoon brought the rage, fury, and the heart of the creature that just wanted to be left alone but was thrown into these extreme situations, but also hated his human self. I expect they’ll play on that physiology.

    Burrell on Samson

Wizard interviewed Ty Burell on playing Doc Samson in The Incredible Hulk and insight on what Norton brings to the table.
    Here the highlights.

WIZARD: So do you have green hair in this movie?

BURRELL: Actually, no. When we meet Samson, he still has his normal, boring
hair. So you don’t get irradiated in this movie?Uh, no. [Hesitates] I don’t want
    to give anything away.

Obiviously. He won’t become THE Doc Samson until the end of the film.

    How would you describe Samson?

He’s very similar to the comics. Here’s a guy who’s perfectly smart and
very well intended. But he has a blind spot because of that hubris. He feels
like he can help everybody through [psychology]. He really believes he’s the
smartest person in the room, and feels he can use that to help people. Yet
    that’s also his weakness.

Are there scenes of Banner on Samson’s couch?

So to speak, yeah. There are moments in the film where we’re definitely
feeling each other out. Their relationship is incredibly complicated. You see
their potential for being friends and also why they could be adversaries.

Samson almost had to take down The Hulk everytime. So that could be setup here. From the first trailer it had that scene from Hulk: Gray with Banner telling Samson about what’s going on.

How would you describe Norton’s approach to the Hulk?

As far as the script, he has really taken it on with his famous attention
to detail and depth. He’s giving this as much care as he’s given any of his
films. He’s just completely dedicated to it. Edward has shown he can play very,
very complicated characters, with the duality of our nature as a central theme.
This really fits beautifully into that. He’s written a very complicated script
and he’s playing it with that same nuanced conflict about a guy who’s burdened,
just like the comics. I think he also wrote a script that has a real sense for
how exciting these movies can be. I think the action comes out of the script
really naturally. It’s really organic to the story.

All the best elements of the Hulk brand is all there, I really hope the psychology right this time.

    Jazz Back

    HE’S COMING BACK, BITCHES!
According to TFW2005, that Jazz will be back from the dead in Transformers 2.

The Pontiac Solstice vehicle prop of Autobot Jazz arrived on the set of
Transformers 2 earlier today. In addition we’ve received confirmation from a
second tipster that Darius McCrary, the voice of Movie Jazz, is now on set as
    well.

In Episode 9, I said I wasn’t looking forward to it. I thought Rob was refering to Frenzy, which I didn’t mind, but I’m all for Jazz returning, the first line that came out of his mouth, made me chuckle.
