    Waller on Smallville? – UPDATED

Spoiler TV has reported a casting call for another guest star that can turn into another DC character debuting on the show.

[ANDREA POTTER] 35 – 55 yrs old. A heavyset, imposing and ruthless African American woman. She has sinister plans for the citizens of Metropolis…Do not limit your suggestions to heavyset. This role is established in Episode #912 but is a RECURRING GUEST STAR role.

What organization will Amanda take part of what’s been established? The Department of Domestic Security or Cadmus Labs that Luthor bought out in the first season?

Hoping CHH Pounder will reprise her role, cause I can’t see anyone else for that role. I’ve could’ve seen the producers reusing Lorena Gale, Dr. Gailer Foster from Season 3 if she hadn’t passed away earlier this year.

UPDATE  – 11/10/09: Ausellio of EW confirms it’s indeed Waller, who will appear in the JSA two parter and future episodes in the season. Jackie Brown, Pam Grier will portray her. Also she’s labeled as an agent which concludes her position is in the D.D.S.C. that was introduced in the seventh year of the show.

    "Kandor" Images

Glimpse of Warlock, Julian Sands as Jor-El in episode 9×07.

The producers unintentionally retcon another fact that he resembles Kal-El as the artist rendering from “Relic” showed and Lara’s mistake in “Blue”.

Dig Zod’s uniform. Very similar to his look in the New Krypton storyline, despite the fact that mini series became dull and boring midway through.

That’s another thing, Callum Blue is way younger compared to Sands. I understand them taking more cues from the Donner films because Marlon Brando was older then Terrance Stamp, but this is too far apart age wise.

    "Roulette" Review

Talk about wasting a DC character and a weak episode in general. How many times are the producers are going to double dip Ollie & Lois? For once I was really torn about the Clois scenes. I understand Lois’ reaction for Clark keeping it a secret, but it seemed the writers were looking for some sort of speed bump in their relationship to bring it back to said shipper.

Steph Song did well in the role until “the twist” at the end. Honestly thought Luthor was behind this ordeal like his murder attempt on Oliver with Toyman last season.

But the thing that really pissed me off was them blatantly glorifying Chloe who’s far from an angel or a saint, not after the stupid decisions she made last season and continuously not facing the cold hard fact it was all her fault. So instead of Oliver lecturing her about spying on him with the bug belt, he’s thanking her?

Despite this cluster f##k of an episode, the ending with The Emerald Archer and The Man of Steel on the rooftop was nice. Glad that Oliver’s “I don’t want to live anymore” didn’t drag itself out for this year.

    Rating: 5

    Second Wolf Man Preview

The rock music was a little much but the CG looks better then previously. It cements that fact Sir John Talbot is the one converting his son’s pysche into the monster. It also looks like Rick Baker’s design is still intacted.

Another glimpse of that beast child similar to American Werewolf in London where the animal version of David in the bed from one out of the four nightmare sequences.

Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural #1

Hearing about a new Sorcerer Suspreme since Steven Strange is retiring interested me. Rob and I stopped by one of our local comic stores, Conquest to pick up the first issue for the hero chosen by the Eye of Agamotto named Brother Voodoo.

The highlight comes where he encounters King of Latveria himself when the houngan attempts to capture a supernatural creature with a thick dominic accent poccessing a patient at the clinic where his alter ego, Jericho Drumm works.

Von Doom now dons a mystic suit of armor rather then high tech. Out to claim the eye for himself, they pullmit through the different dimensions from the realm of Blackheart to where Shuma-Gorath resignes.

Good start, I’ll be picking up the next issue with Satan’s son.

    Lois vs. Roulette

Steph Song seems to bring some of the authority Virgina Madsen brought to the role in JLU. Glad the writers kept her fighting skills, but she’s no master like Bruce Wayne.

Wished they gave her a better motif to start her off with then the death trap routine.

Hawkman & Dr. Fate in "Society"

IGN has confirmed that aside from Stargirl, the other two members of the JSA that will appear in episode 9×12 of Smallville is Katar Hol and Kent Nelson.

“Playing Hawkman will be an actor who brings his own notable sci-fi following to the role. Michael Shanks, who has recently been appearing on Burn Notice, but is best known as Daniel Jackson on Stargate SG-1, will portray the classic DC hero.”

I don’t think he’ll have the actual wings, but something like the old school attachments Moth Man has in the opening credits of Watchmen. He won’t be doing much flying due to “the budget”. Funny that Geoff Johns killed Carter in Blackest Night and now he showing up here.

“Doctor Fate will be played by Brent Stait, who had an ongoing role on Andromeda
as Rev Bem. Stait also has experience in the Stargate world, having guest
starred on Stargate Atlantis and appearing in the direct-to-DVD movie Stargate
    SG-1: Children of the Gods.

Make sense. They’ve introduced Zatanna last season, why not another person from the occult community.
