    DK Wraps

From Screen Magazine, pre-production has wrapped on The Dark Knight, on to post-production.

Now that principal photography is complete, the film heads back to the West
Coast to tackle post-production ahead of a summer 2008 release. One company that
has been working with the filmmakers since the beginning is Digital Vortechs, an
equipment rental facility out of Los Angeles that helped coordinate
post-production across multiple shooting locations, including Chicago.

“The Dark Knight” is being edited by Lee Smith of Beverly Hills-based The
Gersh Agency. Audio post will be handled at Dolby Laboratories in San
    Francisco.

    Incredible Hulk Superbowl Spot?

Lindsay Harrison from Rhyth and Hues, the visual effects company working on the new Hulk movie, posted on her blog about The Jolly Green Giant making a first appearance in the Superbowl next year.

The big announcement is that I will be working on the new Incredible Hulk
    movie… I’m so excited. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever done before and I can’t
wait for all the crazy things I’m going to learn while working on it. THIS IS
NOT A SEQUEL. Basically we’re all pretending the first one never happened. It
stars Edward Norton, Tim Roth, Liv Tyler, and William Hurt. It should be
awesome. I’ve seen the tests for Hulk and its amazing! Way cooler than it looked
before. I believe the trailer will be premiered during the Super Bowl. Not sure
yet, but I’ll keep you updated.

The Super Bowl will air on February 3, 2008 on Fox. Universal also revealed
the look of Ang Lee’s Hulk with a TV spot during the 2003 Super Bowl.
    Louis Leterrier’s
    The
    Incredible Hulk
opens in theaters on June 13, 2008.

I’ll believe it when I see it.

    Heath Ledger Interview

IESB.Net inverviews Heath Ledger on playing Batman’s greatest villian.

IESB: You’re going right from I’m Not There where you have to put your spin
on a character set up by other actors and right into
Batman where the Joker has been done by not
    only
Jack Nicholson but Cesar Romero, etc as well
as the comics. Does it compare at all?

LEDGER: I really don’t know. It’s like chalk and cheese. My preparation
process for this and my process for the Joker are completely different. I mean,
for the Joker I locked myself away in a hotel room for six weeks. I just
formulated a voice and a posture and found a real psychology behind the Joker. I
really put a lot of work into it. And the experience also on a production scale,
by the way, is obviously a completely different shoot. Batman is just such a
machine. It’s huge and I’ve never worked on anything that big. And the movie is going to be surprisingly good! It’s
    far exceeded my expectations.

IESB: Were there any specific comics you based your version off of?

LEDGER: Well, The Killing Joke is the one that’s being passed around and
Arkham Asylum kind of. But I really tried to read the comics and put it down.
You know, I was a big fan of Jack Nicholson – still am – his portrayal of the
Joker was perfect for Tim Burton’s world and if Tim Burton had
come to me and he was doing the sequel and he asked me to play the Joker in his
movie, I wouldn’t do it. I couldn’t. Because you couldn’t touch what Jack
Nicholson did. It would be a crime. When Chris came to me, I’d already seen
Batman Begins and I really liked it. Because
I’d already seen it, I already knew the world, which he had created. I instantly
knew of an angle. I instantly knew a way into this character. A way to create a
character to fit into this world and so it was fairly immediate. I’ve got
straight away the fact that we’re both on the same page in terms of where we
want it to be. But I guess we have to wait and see. I haven’t seen any of it
    yet.

    Transformers 2 Update

Variety reports on the Transformers sequel’s progress.

DreamWorks/Par’s “Transformers 2” is far enough along to proceed with
pre-production, location scouting and advance VFX work, but will face serious
issues if the strike continues for several months. Michael Bay’s megabudget
sequel isn’t set to start filming until June. Di Bonaventura’s “Edwin A. Salt”
will likely be pushed back, too.

Again with WGS, I feel this year is turning into “The Kennedy Era” for movies.

    "Blue" Director’s Cut is Up

It’s here the sneak peak for the episode that continues were “Lara” left off. My only gripe, after watching it, is with the WGS going on, that this isn’t the last we see of the future Supergirl.
