Chloe in Superman Mythos – UPDATE

Chloe will be Lois’ cousin in the her DCU version and will likely debut in
    April’s Superman #675.

Allison Mack, who plays Chloe on television, told The Continuum
she was excited to see her character in Superman’s comic-book world and even the
    film franchise.

    Finally, what took so long?
UPDATE: Newsarama has released the cover and description for when Chloe debuts in #674.

Written by Kurt BusiekArt and cover by Renato Guedes & José Wilson
    Magalhaés.

It’s a time of new beginnings for Superman as art sensation Renato Guedes
joins the team! Plus, the superhuman mastermind Paragon is loose in Metropolis,
Clark and Lois are hunting for a new place to live after the events of “Insect
Queen,” and worse, they’ve got relatives coming to visit — namely, a certain
blonde cousin of Lois’s from Smallville. It all sets the stage for a major new
addition to the cast in next month’s anniversary issue! Can you say “Chloe
    Sullivan”? We thought you could.

I’m picking this up, mainly because the spunky blond ace reporter is coming to the big city.

The Dark Knight Trailer – UPDATE

Exciting from beginning to end. After Rob and I see the prologue at the IMAX theater, I’ll be sold on Heath Ledger as The Joker.

I like how in the trailer he changed his voice from being the light joyous clown to the deep voiced serial killer.

UPDATE 12/18/07: For some stupid reasons the trailer is being removed from YouTube.

    So I’m posting the link.

    Cloverfield Clip

Paramount Pictures has released a clip from J.J. Abrams’ upcoming monster flick, Cloverfield.

Since Rob told me that the film is shot by hand held cameras I wonder if it’s going to pull the effect of building the tention and when you finally see the monster, you jump out of your seat.

    More DK Posters

With the release of the international poster, WB has unveiled two more of The Joker.

It’s hard to judge since both posters look amazing, I would have to go with “Why So Serious?”.

My question is why are the international posters better then the ones we have in the states?

    The Titans Strike Back!

According to Variety, that the helmer for the remake of Clash of Titans is the first Blade film director Steve Norrington.
But what really caught my attention was screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote the best films in history….Raiders of the Lost Ark and Empire Strikes Back.
HOLY CRAP! That’s it, this movie is going to be awsome.

    Official Dark Knight Synopsis

From IESB.net, the description for The Dark Knight.

The follow-up to the action hit “Batman Begins,” “The Dark Knight” reunites
director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale, who reprises the role of
    Batman/Bruce Wayne.
In “The Dark Knight,” Batman raises the stakes in his war
    on crime.

With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent,
Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague
the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find
themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind
known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker.

A pretty good basic summary, like what Nolan said “things are going to get worse before they get better”, and much worse when Dent becomes Two-Face.

    A Batman/Superman Easter Egg?

MTV’s Movie Blog is reporting that in I Am Legend, which comes out tommorrow, there’s a scene in the movie, on a Manhattan billboard has Batman against Superman.

Some sites are reporting that it means that we might have the team-up film come to the big screen in 2009, the same year as Justice League aka Young Justice, I’m still behind a World’s Finest film, and if that’s true, WB is going to compete with itself to which JLA gearing toward younger audiences is going take the lead at the box office.

    Wolverine Plot Synopsis

On Coming Soon.net, 2oth Century Fox has released the offical description for the Wolverine spinoff.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is set to star Jackman and will be directed by
Gavin Hood (Tsotsi, Rendition). The producers are Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph
Winter (who produced all three previous “X-Men” films), along with Jackman and
his Seed Prods. producing partner, John Palermo. The film will be executive
produced by Marvel Films’ Kevin Feige.

Leading up to the events of X-Men, X-Men Origins: Wolverine – written by
David Benioff (The Kite Runner, Troy) – tells the story of Wolverine’s epically
violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the
ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both
familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men
    universe.

I don’t like title, why don’t they just call it what the picture in my post says “Wolverine: Origins”. The guest appearences by other mutants in the X-Men Universe sounds interesting.

Red’s Got a Brand New Bag

Shock Till You Drop.com has released a new image of Hellboy from the upcoming sequel, holding what appears to be a big grenade launcher.

It seems the prosthetics on Ron Perlman are less thick then last time, which is good.
