    "Connor Reboots Terminator"?…Yeah Right.

Scifi Wire interviewed producer James Middleton on The Terminator series or “The Sarah Connor Chronicles”.

“The Sarah Connor Chronicles is really a new expression of the franchise, and it
is a denouement, really, to Sarah Connor and that character that was introduced
in the first two movies,” Middleton said in an interview Jan. 5 at the Golden
Apple comic shop in Los Angeles, where the cast signed autographs and screened
    the pilot episode.

    From what I’ve seen…that
    1. It breaks the law of time travel that it’s one way only and you can’t go back.
    and
    2. There’s a teenage female Terminator as the new protecter for John, if he starts developing a romantic interest with a machine, I’m walking out.
On the postive, I’m glad that the producer claims that there’s no continutity with the third film. Cause Terminator 3 sucked monkey balls, the only good thing about that whole movie was the T-X8000.

You better start walking now, buddy. πŸ™‚ After seeing the pilot last night, how could anyone — let alone a teenage boy with an overprotective mom — not fall in love with an android build like Summer Glau?

    Gyllenhaal on DK

After a year of nothing about Rachel Dawnes in The Dark Knight, from Metro.com.uk, Maggie Gyllenhaal has come out to talk about her role, that was previously played by the wife of scientology nut Tom Cruise.

Is your Batman character a damsel in distress? There are moments of that. Chris
Nolan, the director, would joke about how I had to resign myself to being a
little bit of a damsel in distress but he pushed me in other ways to make her a
powerful character. I play a lawyer and have real relationships with the people
I’m interacting with in the movie. She’s very smart and a real rounded person.
Of course, if you’re the girl in Batman, you’re going to be a damsel in distress
to some extent but she’s a really great character. So many people I play are a
mess; Rachel’s really clear about what’s important to her and unwilling to
compromise her morals, which made a nice change.

I didn’t mind the character being there, but having seen the first one many times, Katie Holmes was so butch.

I speculated that Rachel has a romantic relationship with Harvey Dent in this movie, which leads to disaster.

    Avengers Tie In Scene Revealed?

AICN scoops in on the cameo scene in both Iron Man and The Hulk from the other Marvel characters that tie into a possible Avengers film.

This might be considered a SPOILER, if you want to read it, highlight blank spot.
So the scene that was shot was for the Hulk with General Thunderbolt who is very important to the Hulk. Anyway, Tony Stark meets with him – which of course is a straight prelude to the Avengers Movie.
I’m all for them to start building a the Marvel Universe in their films, just like in the comics.

Marvel’s Heroes and Villians of 2007

Marvel have released their Top 10 List of Heroes and Villians of 2007.

    First the heroes.

    1. IRON MAN (Can’t argue that. After all the shit that he and Reed Richards did in Civil War, and how it ultimately lead to Cap’s death, Stark has alot to answer for.

    2. LUKE CAGE

    3. CYCLOPS

    4. NOVA

    5. THE WINTER SOLDIER
(Bucky Barnes returned as a badass mercenary and a possible candiate to take up Cap’s mantle. But unlikely.

    6. SPIDER-MAN
(After he revealed himself to the world, Peter’s life has been a living hell, Aunt May getting shot and slowly dieing, him donning the black costume again, and kicking the shit out of anyone who gets in his way.)

    7. CAPTAIN AMERICA
(I stood behind Cap’s side of against The Super-Human Registration Act the whole time. Him and Iron Man fighting against each other, Cap surrendering to stop the further loss of life, and ultimately assassinated. I don’t think I’ve recovered from the shock.)

    8. THOR
(Since The Thunder God has returned and reastablishing The Norse Gods, having found out what happened while he was away, he has a score to settle with Shellhead.)

    9. EMMA FROST
(previous villianious, Hellfire Club member to second leader of the X-Men and love interest to Cyclops.)

    10. JAMIE MADROX
    Now the villians.

    1. THE RED SKULL
(He’s probably gloating at his arch nemesis’ demise and now his further achieving his goals.)

    2. MR. SINISTER

    3. THE HOOD

    4. ULTRON

    5. THE MARAUDERS

    6. MYSTIQUE

    7. MIEK

    8. THE PHALANX

    9. MR. FEAR
(The Daredevil villian that looks like Phantasm.)

    10. VULCAN

    We Antisipate Star Trek 11

Today in the book store at The Mall, I flipped through the current issue of Scifi Magazine to look at a featured article about the new, upcoming Star Trek film.

It had a list of the cast to which my brother and I didn’t know if it was legit or not. After looking at the list on IMDB, were stoked, this is a great unsomble.
    Chris Pine – Captain Kirk
    Zachary Quinto – Spock

    Eric Bana – Nero
(Shoot, My brother and I thought he was going to play..”KAHN!” It would be cool to see Bana as the villian for a change.)
Winonda Ryder – Amanda Grayson (As Spock’s human mother, sounds interesting.)
    Zoe Saldana – Uhura
Karl Urban – “Bones” McCoy (From warriors in Lord of the Rings and Pathfinder to this? “Damn it Jim, I’m a barbarian, not a doctor!”)
John Cho – Sulu (Harlod goes to the Enterprise.)
and Simon Pegg as Scotty it’s casting genious.
I think just because Nemoy and Shatner are in this as well, doesn’t mean that this is a prequel. I think it’s going to be a reboot, so we’ll have to wait until the trailer comes out to put that ancient fued to rest.

    Favreau for Avengers?

From the MTV Blog, Jon Favreau has expressed interest in directing the Avengers film, which will be the follow up to all the other Marvel franchises.

Favreau insists that Marvel will only go ahead with the project if and when all
the individual characters get their own story. It’ll be worth the wait, Favreau
claimed, calling this way not only more impressive and formidable – but more
    consistent as well.

“I wonder if the tone of ‘The Incredible Hulk’ is going to be similar or
different than [‘Iron Man’],” Favreau questioned. “And ‘Captain America’ is a
twinkle in Marvel’s eye right now. And ‘Thor’ and ‘Ant Man.’

“[But] in the case of Marvel they’re pretty clear on wanting to do it with
the actors who’ve established the roles or to not do it at all. That’s what
they’ve said to me,” he continued.

It seems that Marvel is confident in want they want to do in the future, unlike another company that just wants throw it all out at the market.

I still need to see how well he does with Iron Man, but I don’t doubt that it’s shaping up to be good.

    DC Movie Updates – UPDATE

Variety gives an update on future DC Comic adaptations.

Speaking of DC Comics pics, it is highly unlikely that Bryan Singer will
return to shoot the next Superman movie. (The director is finishing up Tom
Cruise’s Nazi film Valkyrie, and prepping The Mayor of Castro Street). The next
Superman we will see on the big screen will not be Brandon Routh, but a younger
Superman among a cast of youthful superheroes in The Justice League. That movie
will likely not be shot, however, until after the WGA strike is resolved.
Warners is so happy with Dark Knight that their fondest hope is that Nolan will
    return to do another Batman.

First off Brandon Routh did fine, and second it’s studio suicide since Justice League is doomed, there going to unknowingly take down every other franchise, that’s retarded.

Nolan has stated he wants to take a break from the Batman franchise, which I agree with. But the studio is going to pull an X-3 stunt.

UPDATE 1/5/08: AICN is report that the rumor could be false.

I just got off the phone with a very high-ranking mole who is absolutely in
a position to know what’s happening with this film, and he tells me that it is
“absolutely false” that Brandon Routh is out as Superman for the stand-alone
    series.

Right now, Routh is still Warner’s choice to return if they make another
stand-alone SUPERMAN film, and that’s based on conversations as recently as a
    few weeks ago.
Don’t believe this one, kids. Routh’s still the Man of
    Steel.

If they make another Superman film, they better move on and do something different, like what my brother and I ranted on the show, that Superman Returns was a pay too much homage to the Richard Donner films.

I this rumor better be false, Warner Bros. are planning on making one mistakes which another big mistake after other, after other, after other.

    Jonny Quest Script Review

IESB.net gives a script review for another draft that was written before the stike happened for a live action Jonny Quest film.
Looking over it, it’s follows some ideas I’ve had of Race being assigned to Dr. Quest, and his son being brat.
Here’s a short plot summary I had for a movie.

Race Bannon is a high profile military officier who is relieved of his duties do to his age and is given a new assignment to protect Dr. Bentent Quest for being a material witness for something but he’s given the job of babysitting his spoiled son Jonny Quest. They go into hiding in India where they encounter a group of terrorists and a young boy named Hadgi.

    Not much, I know.
In the review, the villian is a character named Korchek, shouldn’t it be Dr. Quest’s arch nemesis’ DR. ZIN?
If memory serves, the original cartoon was more of a scifi mystery adventure, then Indiana Jones action adventure.
Growing up, I’ve seen episodes of the old series, but for the most part I saw the new series on Cartoon Network, the one with Race’s hot red headed niece, which was more of a serious approach then the other one that always ended with a ridiculous group laugh.
