    Heath Ledger is Dead?!

HOLY CRAP, I DON’T BELIEVE IT.
According to The New York Times and I’ve read that it’s has been confirmed by other news sources, that Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment in New York.

At 3:31 p.m., a masseuse arrived at Apartment 5A in the building, at 421 Broome
Street in SoHo, for an appointment with Mr. Ledger, the police said. The
masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door
of Mr. Ledger’s bedroom. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse
opened the bedroom and found Mr. Ledger naked and unconscious on a bed, with
pills scattered around his body. They shook him, but he did not respond. They
    immediately called the authorities.

Another case of drug overdose, does this prove it to you certain people out there? DRUGS KILL PEOPLE.
    R.I.P. Mr. Ledger.

    Midnight Meat Train Poster

Impawards.com has recieved a new poster for the upcoming horror flick, Midnight Meat Train.

I would not want to meet Vinnie Jones on that dark side of the train of the New York Subway.

    Chris Pine on Kirk

IESB.net interviewed with Chris Pine, the actor that’s playing Captain Kirk in the new Star Trek movie.

Here’re the highlights of the article.

Q: Are you feeling any pressure to evoke William Shatner?

CS: I actually feel the exact opposite. I think the biggest mistake I could
ever do would be to try to re-create what Mr. Shatner did. There are certain
qualities that Kirk has that are vital for someone who is a leader of men. And
those qualities, I definitely wanted to take from what Mr. Shatner did in the
original series. But my job is to take something new, to take that and build
upon it, really do my own thing. I just feel no pressure when it comes to
    that.

Q: Have you talked with Shatner?

CP: I have not talked to Shatner. I wrote him a letter early on in the
process and corresponded that way. I got a letter back from him, which is very
nice. And I’ve met Mr. Nimoy a couple of times. He’s been on set and we have a
couple of scenes in the film, which will be nice, and I’m excited for
    those.

Paramount Pictures has also officially released a short synopsis.

From director J.J. Abrams (“Mission: Impossible III,” “Lost” and “Alias”)
and screenwriters Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman (“TRANSFORMERS,” “MI: III”)
comes a new vision of the greatest space adventure of all time, “Star Trek,”
featuring a young, new crew venturing boldly where no man has gone before.

    It’s been confirmed people, it’s a reboot.

    Transformers Nominated

Coming Soon.net has reported that Transformers has been nominated for three Academy Awards, one for Sound Editing, two for Sound Mixing, and third for Visual Effects.
The special effects blew my mind, the same as everyone else’s experience seeing the film. I wish good luck for ILM at the Oscars.

Ya, if they don’t win it’ll just prove that Hollywood still sees materials we love as a lesser art form.

    Fan Made World’s Finest Trailer

Since the previous Dark Knight trailer had come out, Ledger as The Joker, Garzavive has created a trailer for a Batman/Superman film, that will not be coming anytime soon, with bad news that’s been coming about Bryan Singer and Brandon Routh not returning.

This is “the crossover film that should rightfully be made” first, to quote a replyer from The Movie Blog comment section on the issue with Justice League.

    Machete Poster

Dimension Films has released a poster from Robert Rodriguez’s film that was a trailer at the beginning of Grindhouse, Machete.

For me, Grindhouse was a fun time at the theater, Planet Terror being my favorite. I wonder if this film is still going to get made? With the Writer’s Stike still ongoing.

Rodriguez is a cutting edge director, yes he makes movies that don’t make a huge amount of profit, but I don’t care about that, him adapting very well Frank Miller’s Sin City or taking two genres and mixing into one aka From Dusk Till Dawn, I would love to see this be turned into a full length movie.

    Hurt Confirms Crossovers

William Hurt, who plays General “Thunderbolt” Ross, in the upcoming Hulk film, spilled the beans on the MTV Blog that there will indeed be a crossover between this and the Iron Man film.

“I have a scene with Iron Man, with Robert Downey Jr.,” the Oscar-winning
    actor told MTV
News Friday at the Sundance Film Festival. “It’s a funky
    scene.

“I don’t know how it’ll work,” Hurt admitted, saying it was a thrill to
appear as General Thaddeus Ross during Downey’s scene. “I know it’s weird [to
work with a character from another movie], and to know it’s a device. We did
something; I don’t know what that’s going to be like [to watch].”

This going to f**kin awsome. Marvel is doing a good job, just more good news after another.

    Tekken Synopsis?

IESB.net, is reporting on a rumored casting for the upcoming Tekken movie, and a plot synopsis.

Based on the bestselling Japanese video game from Namco. In order to put to rest
the ghosts of his past, Jin Kazama enters the Tekken tournament, a fierce and
dangerous competition featuring the world’s best martial artists. Following
close behind him is Lucas, an aging fight master looking to save Jin from his
own inner demons. While on the surface Tekken appears to be the corporation of
the future, Jin and Lucas expose a dark underbelly that could threaten the very
    threads of humanity.

Last night I was watching someone commenting on YouTube about how the Street Fighter movie could’ve been better, like The Quest in my opinion, but this description suits that kind of story.

I’m not going to put my expectations high, cause video game movies of recent years generally suck, with very few exceptions, the first Mortal Kombat and I’m going to get flacked for it, but I don’t care, Super Mario Bros. THERE I SAID IT.

With debut of Black Canary images, The CW has released the offical description for “Siren”.

working for Oliver (guest star Justin Hartley), Chloe (Allison Mack) intercepts
one of Lex’s (Michael Rosenbaum) project files, but she is attacked by the Black
Canary (guest star Alaina Huffman), a mystery woman with a subsonic cry. Dinah
Lance, Black Canary’s alter ego, is a conservative talk show host who is working
