    "Fracture" Trailer

After the disappointing Black Canary episode, they showed the preview for next week and DAMN, this looks good.

    Enter Lex Luthor.

At first I wasn’t looking forward to it because I thought Clark was gonna pine over the decision to leave Kara in Deroit or bring her back home.

The narrator is the trailer voice from Grindhouse.

    Supernatural Review

Right after Smallville I watched tonight’s new episode of Supernatural.
I wasn’t too big on the previous Demon Witch thing last week, but this was a step up.
Ever since the Smallville season 6 episode “Labyrinth”, Rob and I have become fans of the “trapped in the mind” type story, if done right, and this was done well yet again.
The first half delvfed into the character of Bobby, who killed his wife because she was poccessed by a demon, but he didn’t know what to do at that time and the second half dealed with Dean’s fear of himself turned demon..literally with his hidden feelings.
The subplot, looking back on it, the sleeping magic drug addicted abused son was second diary to me, confused our old man and almost confused me for a second.
Next week looks interesting…Reliving your death over, and over, and over again.

    "Siren" Write Up Review

Well, I was looking forward to seeing tonight’s episode for being the first appearence of a superherorine on the show.

Initial thought, this was a first disappointing episode, this is below “Cyborg”.

As always I’ll start with the Good. Start with Dinah Lance herself, liked the reversal of her a natural blond, wearing a long dark haired wig, as opposed in comics where she wears a blond wig and dark hair.

The sonic scream effect was different then the traditonal, like in the comics or in JLU, she tries to kick Clark, but hits the floor, which I found quite humorous, but Boyscout gets owned by the bird call cause of his superhearing.

Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow returns and what I loved, again reafirming to Clark aka Boyscout that he’s once again not doing enough to help the greater good and instead pining over his loved ones and not protecting them.

I didn’t mind the whole relationship between Oliver and Lois, another funny moment where she not slaps, but punches him the jaw for the breakup. Of course Ollie wants to rekindle, but Lois finds out he’s The Emerald Archer, and feels she can’t handle the burden because her outspoken mouth, she’s breaks down in her apartment and guess what? She says to Clark “Why can’t I mingle with a guy like you?”, Clark gives slight smile, and they embrace. CLOIS MOMENT BABY, HELL YEAH!

Once again as always Allison Mack as Chloe aka Watchtower comes through everytime.

What I loved Clark calling out on Lana’s shit with Bizarro in “Persona”, and the ultimate line at the end of the scene “It’s not me you don’t want to face” – but it’s you. YOU, YOU, YOU, LANA, YOU SGEEZ!

I had my share of Gripes or things that Erked me in this episode. Clark cause he’s had issues with what happened in the previous mentioned, that he thinks it’s right to dish his frustrations on Oliver, I understand it because Chloe was in the dark about was going on, but that irritated me.

Another thing was that there wasn’t enough interaction between GA and BC.

Now the Bad, after teaser it start with, the majority, and the end was hurts me more then Lana herself was CLANA! ERG!

And lastly the Ugly, The Icisis Foundation, WE STILL ON THIS FUCKING PLOTLINE?! FUCK IT!

Like I’ve said before this was the first disapointing superhero episode, but there were still some good stuff in it to put this below the average 7 and give it a 6.

Next week looks extremely interesting, “Labyrinth” with Lex Luthor as the central character this time.

    Al Gough on Season 7

The Trades and Movie Web.com interviewed Al Gough about the debut of Black Canary on tonight’s show, but give insight on the season.
Here the highlights from both interviews.

Can you explain in simple terms how the movie projects tie up the
television series, when the properties and medium are both owned by the same
    corporation?

They just do. We’re just told that we can’t use that character. It’s a
corporate decision. Again, Greg Novack at DC is our biggest advocate, and we’ve
certainly run up the hill on both Bruce Wayne and Diana Prince, but haven’t had
any success so far. With Bruce Wayne, we won’t because of the movie franchise,
and that’s sort of an arbitrary corporate decision that we have no control
    over.

Well listeners/commenters, were going to have accept the fact the future Batman and future Wonder Woman will not on the show.

Are there plans for any other recognizable characters in the future? The
Superman gallery of rogues is a little shallow, but there are still unused heavy
    hitters like Darkseid or Mongul.

We’re always looking, and we’re always asking. There’s nothing I can reveal
at this point, but those things are always in process.

I’m glad they addressed in the interview, like Rob and I were talking about that they aren’t enough supervillians on the show to form The Legion of Doom.

Black Canary arrives this week and Green Arrow is back for the time being.
How much are we going to start seeing each character in the show, from this
point, through to the episode 15 cliffhanger, and beyond?

This season, due to the strike, there are only plans to have them in this
one episode. If we make episodes beyond the 15 you could potentially see them
more, but I think season 8 (fingers crossed, no guarantee) would be a more
    likely place for their return.

Gough makes it sounds like season 8 isn’t gonna happen. Please let the reports of the stike ends next Friday are true.

Bizarro seemed to be destroyed by the Martian Manhunter in the season
    opener
, then he returned in Gemini.
It seems like he was destroyed again in
    Persona,
but with his record for returning, is there any chance that we might see more of
    Bizarro this season?

There is ALWAYS a chance that this guy could show up….also, it didn’t
make the episode but was in the script for Persona,
Bizarro was released because of the eclipse that Zor-el started in episode 8.
With the sun blocked, he was able to escape…thought you might find that
interesting especially for you continuity junkies! See, regardless of what they
say about us on the boards, we DO actually think about this stuff…it just
doesn’t always make the episodes for various reasons.

Now that Brainiac has repaired itself, what does it plan to do next?

It’s original plan to summon Zod are obviously no longer on the table, so
what sort of trouble will we see it causing Clark in the future? Let’s just say
that Kara figures into that plan…..and he’s gonna take his game to a whole new
    level.

Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and now Black
Canary. We’ve seen a lot of Clark’s future Justice League allies show up during
the past few seasons. Who’s next?

If I told you that, then there wouldn’t be ANY surprises left! Stay tuned,
we have a few more up our sleeve….again, maybe not this season due to the
strike, but there’s always season 8 (fingers-crossed-no-guarantee disclaimer
    still applies)

Green Lantern was mentioned by Steven DeKnight as a possibilty, but which direction would they take? Him just as the test pilot or him still learning how to use his power ring. Again Both of my fingers and toes are crossed that the rumors are true that will be one more season.

Last we saw of her, Kara was in Detroit, without her memories or her
powers, presumably as a result of Clark destroying her crystal in
    Blue.
When are we going to find out what’s happening with her?

That ball gets rolling in this week’s episode span >,
but really takes off in Episode 12,when you’ll get filled in on what the heck happened to her and how she gets back
    to Smallville.

Good, Clark going to do something about it and I’m very glad that this amenesia crap is going to get cleared up early.

Are we ever going to see Jor-El? (Even through a flashback)?

    Sorry, this
probably won’t ever happen…you’ll just have to use your
    imagination (think
an older General Zod-ish circa Superman II
    looking
    fella)

    Doug not Abe’s Voice Again?

SHH interviewed Doug Jones about the next Hellboy film, and he may or may not be doing the voice once again.

SHH!: And it will be your voice this time doing Abe?

Jones: I did “Blood and Iron” and “Sword of Storms” (the two “Hellboy” animated
films) and had a lot of fun with that and basically I’m not changing. I’m using
the same voice I did on the first film before it was voiced over. I’m not trying
to sound like David Hyde Pierce, that would get confusing, “I’m trying to sound
like David Hyde Pierce, sounding like me. What?” David and I weren’t that far
apart from each other’s performance anyway. If you go on the “Hellboy” website
there’s a video on there of me greeting you and that’s pretty much what he
    sounds like.

Like we’ve said before, Doug does a good job in the animated films, and if this is true, GIVE HIM A CHANCE, Sony.

    Writer’s Strike Reaching an End?

From two reliable sources are reporting that the stirke might finally be reaching to a conclusion.

Insiders said there was enough progress being made to raise the prospect of WGA
leaders bringing a contract proposal directly to the boards of the WGA West and
WGA East, possibly bypassing the resumption of formal bargaining between the WGA
and Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers. Insiders indicated that
lawyers for both sides were exchanging drafts of proposed contract language this
    weekend.

The other source says could be announcement next Friday, but this could be false.

But if this is true…Thank God, might have a full season of Smallville after all.

    Johnston Directs Wolf Man?

Harry from AICN, is reporting that the third director that was in line to direct the Wolf Man remake, John Johnston is snaged it.

Hey folks, Harry here… As I’m watching the New York Giants desperately
trying to fuck the Patriots’ dreams of history… I get a call from a source
inside Universal Studios that laid on me… the director of THE WOLF MAN. Damn
that catch was amazing! Oh, sorry… WOLF MAN. The director is long time genre
    film lover – JOE JOHNSTON.

Now – Joe Johnston is the man that designed Boba Fett. Art
director on EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK and RETURN OF THE JEDI.
And the director of HONYE, I SHRUNK THE KIDS, THE ROCKETEER, THE PAGEMASTER,
JUMANJI, OCTOBER SKY (a film I love so much), JURASSIC PARK III and
    HIDALGO.

Impressive, he directed the movies from my childhood. Well, this is his opportunity to shine, with a genre he hasn’t tackle with before or crash and burn.
