    Weaving Stars in Wolf Man

According to Variety, Hugo Weaving aka Megatron, V, and Agent Smith, has been cast in upcoming Wolf Man remake.

Weaving (“The Matrix” and “The Lord of the Rings” trilogies) will play Det.
Aberline. Del Toro will play the hirsute title character and Anthony Hopkins his
dad. Blunt has been cast as the female lead in the project, which Joe Johnston
    will direct.

Filming begins next month in London.

David Self did a rewrite of Andrew Kevin Walker’s script. The movie is
produced by Scott Stuber, Mary Parent, Sean Daniel and Rick Yorn.

I have a feeling this gonna be more then just another remake of a classic horror movie.
A rewrite from David Self doesn’t bother me, it’s a different genre, cause he’s used to action thrillers like The Bourne trilogy, who’s he’s currently writing Captain America, hope keeps the majority of material in the first script, the period piece, the tone, and gore.
It’s shaping to have an all star cast.

What’s Pissing Adam Off This Week: Issue One

    (God Dammit!)

Alright this is my first written angry rant so let’s see if I can yell in printed type. One thing that is pissing me off this week is the merger between Hasbro and Universal Pictures. After the huge success with Transformers they decided to merge. But what is really pissing me off is that there is a Monopoly movie in production. Yes! Fucking Monopoly. Ridley Scott’s production company has the rights to make the movie. Ridley Scott for fuck sake! How are you going to make a monopoly movie? Is it going to follow a Scottish terrier and a top hat around a square city block? Or is it going to follow the Jumanji and Zathura story lines only instead of Robin Williams fighting a lion in your living room and having a swarm of bats fly out your chimney repo men come to your house and take away your 52 inch flat screen, your dog, that antique rifle your great racist ancestor from the civil war left for future generations, and leave your family poor and distraught. Or more simply have some guy dressed like Paulie Walnuts from The Sopranos come and put screws through your thumbs.

While I’m on the subject of movies I need to vent my hate against Uwe Bowl. Anyone who knows me knows that there would be nothing better than to see that German douche bag be beaten with an extension cord and ass raped by a southern penitentiary inmate who has a soft spot for simple minded Krauts and a voice like Fog Horn Leg Horn. Bowl has strayed from his shitty existence of making video game movies, which ruin Ben Kingsley’s career, alerts Christian Slater’s parole officer, and destroys Tara Reid’s…never mind with that last one. But I digress. Bowl and his Aryan movie company have released a trailer for their Vietnam era movie “Tunnel Rats”. A movie that will no doubt have people having war like flash backs to the horrors of buying a ticket in the first place. Without a doubt this will be a steaming shit pile of a movie and cause Vietnam vets to throw down their necklace of ears and brown bag of cheap scotch and hunt down Bowl. I can only dream.

And finally the other thing that’s pissing me off this week is magazines. I was in the supermarket today and realized that the magazine market is slimmer than Fidel Castro’s chances of competing in an Iron Man tournament. Thank God his brother is taking over. I couldn’t stand seeing that laid off, strung out, malnourished mall Santa giving speeches anymore. But back to the news stands. It seems that every pop-culture magazine has the same things. Someone has a baby, somebody is cheating on somebody, or that Britney Spears has done something ridiculous this week. Britney Spears has already done all she can do. Short of staging a white supremacist rally in her backyard or selling meth she’s done it all. It actually pisses me off the most that she hasn’t killed herself yet. Britney Spears is on good course to become the next Dana Plato. It just shows that if you’re white trash and are rich you don’t have to go on Maury and fight over who gets to keep the kids. I think Paris Hilton said it best in the latest issue of InTouch magazine. “What does poor mean again?”

I’m Adam and thats what is pissing me off this week.

    Akira Cast?

AICN is reporting that a live action version of the claimed anime classic, Akira is moving forward.

I’ve noticed a trend here… first we had Tobey Maguire get a live-action
ROBOTECH movie moving forward, attached to produce and star, and now his buddy
Leonardo DiCaprio is doing the same for AKIRA. Some friendly competition maybe?
Or maybe this is just the shit that greases their geek-wheels.

Ruairi Robinson, who did that awesome 3-D animated short film FIFTY
PERCENT GREY, will make his feature debut directing the project, which was
    pitched as a two-part epic.

The Hollywood Reporter story doesn’t mention DiCaprio doing
anything other than producing via Appian Way banner, but I have it on good
authority that he is also set to star as the lead, Kaneda.

I’ll be honest I didn’t know there was a Akira movie in development, let alone DiCapiro producing and speculation, starring in it.
Having seen the movie and the huge amount of violence, blood, and gore, this should be a extremely hard R.
    “DIICAPRRIIOO!” “DUN!”

Anchorman 2: The Return of Ron Burgundy?

According to FilmJunk, that Will Farrell is expressing interest in doing a sequel to Anchorman.

It seems that Will Ferrell is seriously contemplating a sequel to his popular
comedy Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. He has recently been performing
some sketches as Ron Burgundy for the Funny or Die Stand Up Comedy Tour, and
this reminded him how much he enjoys the character. While there is certainly
nothing official in the works as of yet, I think it’s clear that there is a
pretty massive fan base out there that would kill to see another Anchorman
    flick.

On one side, I would like to see a sequel, since the first one is funny as hell, but since Hollywood has been captilzing on Farrell’s fame, and cranking out sub-par comedies like Blades of Glory and the upcoming basketball flick Semi-Bro, which has very few chuckles.

    First Look at Two-Face..Sort Of.

Like they have revealed Abombination, at the Toy Fair in New York City, Dark Horizons.com have posted pictures of the Dark Knight Harvey Dent figure in his Two Face persona.

Sweet. I don’t like how most artist draw him, with still having hair on his scarred side. I prefer the look by Tim Sale, where the portion of the head is a half skull, to me that’s more realistic scarring.
As I’ve said in previous posts, I hope we get invested in Harvey Dent for the majority of the film before he he becomes the second biggest villian in the Batman Universe.

    Marvel’s 2008 – 09 Schedule

With the news of a Hulk trailer, Marvel have released their schedule of projects for this year and the next.

Here the highlights from each category.

Feature Film Projects Being Developed by Marvel – partial list

Captain America, Marvel – Writer engaged

Definitely antisapating this, despite Steve Rogers being dead, Cap is still my favorite hero in the Marvel Universe.

As an adding bonus, David Self, of the Bourne films is co-writing the script.

    Thor, Marvel – Writer engaged
Rob is extremely look forward to this and so am I. Matthew Vaughn, the director of Stardust, is helming, from seeing that film, I can’t wait to see his take on the Nasgardian mythology.

The Avengers, Marvel – Writer engaged
Unlike the compatishion, they have this team-up movie thought out well.
    Marvel Character Animated Direct-to-DVD Projects

Planet Hulk, Lionsgate – Scheduled for February 2010 release.
Interesting. My question is, to which goes to you the listeners/commenters also, what take would they spin? Will it be in continuity with the Ultimate Avengers features or be it’s own movie that vaguely follow the continuum of the series.

    Hulk Trailer in March?

Marvel has announced that the first trailer for The Incredible Hulk will be released as early next month behind 10,000 B.C. or Doomsday.

Marvel Entertainment announced its fourth quarter and full year operating
results this morning, and with it came the news from Vice Chairman/Director
Peter Cuneo that you’ll be seeing the first trailer for
    The Incredible Hulk in
early March. Our guess is that it will hit theaters with Warner Bros.’ PG-13
    rated
    10,000 B.C. on
March 7 (if that’s true, make sure you call your theater to see if the trailer
is playing with the showtime you’re thinking of attending, as it will likely not
be on every screen) and then with the R-rated Universal (the studio releasing
    “Hulk” in theaters) pic
    Doomsday on March
    14.

I’m dying to see a trailer for this reboot movie, A shot of Norton’s transformation or some glimpse of The Hulk.

    Gambit in "Wolverine: Origins"

A scooper on the SHH forum confirmed that Gambit will appear in the Wolverine film.

Scooper ‘Chaos Bringer’ has revealed on Superhero Hype!’s message
    boards
that “Friday Night Lights” star Taylor Kitsch will play Gambit (AKA
Remy LeBeau) in director Gavin Hood’s
    X-Men Origins:
    Wolverine
    . Kitsch has signed a three-picture deal.

He’ll be joining Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth),
Danny Huston (William Stryker) and Lynn Collins (Silver Fox) in the 20th Century
Fox release, opening May 1, 2009.

Leading up to the events of X-Men, “Wolverine” tells the story of
Wolverine’s epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with
Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine
encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances
by several legends of the X-Men universe.

I’m unfamilar with the actor, but at least Gambit is finally going to be in
    an X-Men movie of sorts.

With the “three picture deal”, it looks like their going to do a franchise. Hope the description isn’t a bunch of fluff.
