    "Apocalypse" Offical Description

The CW has released the description for 7×18, “Apocalypse”.

CLARK SEES WHAT LIFE WOULD BE LIKE IF HE HAD NEVER ARRIVED ON EARTH; TOM
WELLING DIRECTS — Clark (Tom Welling) discovers that Kara (Laura Vandervoort)
sent messages from Krypton in the past that indicate that Brainiac (guest star
James Marsters) wants to kill Baby Kal-El so Clark will not exist in the future.
Clark is torn because he thinks the world would be better off if he had never
    arrived in Smallville.

Jor-El arranges for him to see what life would have been like if Clark
hadn’t existed – Lex (Michael Rosenabum) is President of the United States, Kara
is raised by the Luthors, Jonathan (John Schneider) is alive, Lana (Kristin
Kreuk) is happily married and Chloe (Allison Mack) and Lois (Erica Durance) are
ace reporters. Aaron Ashmore also stars. Tom Welling directed the episode
written by Turi Meyer & Al Septien.

Well this confirms what Brainiac said in “Veritas” was literally. There going TIME TRAVELING! MAARTY! It also confirms that the Fortress will allow Clark to interact with these scenarios. It will be cool to see Schneider as Pa Kent again.

Even though it’s not The Coming of Darkseid as we’ve speculated, I’m still interested in this upcoming episode.

    Blockbuster Takeover Circuit City?

The old man brought it up this morning. From Variety, Blockbuster are buying up Circuit City since there in financial debt.

Struggling vidtailer Blockbuster revealed a surprise proposal to acquire
electronics chain Circuit City, only to see its stock drop 10% Monday as Wall
Streeters tried to make sense of it.

The cash offer of between $6 and $8 a share, made Feb. 17, is only now
becoming public, according to Blockbuster, because the company wants Circuit
City shareholders to have an adequate chance to weigh in.

While it is typical for the stock of an acquiring company to suffer a
penalty on takeover news, Blockbuster shares were hit hard, finishing at $2.81
after establishing a new 52-week intraday low. Circuit City’s similarly battered
shares ended the high-volume day up 27% to $4.97.

My intial thought was why not have the two companies work hand in glove, combined the best of both worlds, more movies and the electronics? But I understand where there coming from, Circuit City is probably in a pickle cause there sells have dropped alot.

Speilberg Directs Ghost in the Shell?

With news of classic animes being turned into live action films, Dicaprio producing Akira and Toby Maguire starring in Robotech. According to Variety that legendary filmmaker Steven Speilberg has signed up to direct Ghost in the Shell film.

DreamWorks has acquired rights to the Japanese manga “Ghost in the Shell” with plans to adapt the
futuristic police thriller as a 3-D live-action feature.

Story follows the exploits of a member of a covert ops unit of
the Japanese National Public Safety Commission that specializes in fighting
    technology-related crime.
Created by Masamune Shirow, “Ghost in the Shell” was first
published in 1989. It went on to generate two additional manga editions, three
anime film adaptations, an anime TV series and three videogames. The second
    anime film,
“Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence,” was
released in the U.S. by DreamWorks in 2004.

Avi Arad, Ari Arad and Steven Paul of Seaside Entertainment are
attached to produce and brought the project to the studio.
Jamie Moss has been tapped to pen the
    adaptation.

Now I’m not digging the “3D live action feature”, it sounds like this going in the way of Speed Racer where half the world and objects is CG, and not practical and physical like The Fifth Element.

    "Hulk: No-More" Poster

IGN has released a new poster for The Incredible Hulk.

First thought this image reminds me of the famous Spider-Man image from the story arc that was adapted from the second movie, “Spider-Man: No More” where Peter walks away from his alter ego.

Aside from the comparison, it’s nice, it definitely infuses the mude of the TV show, I can hear The Lonely Man Theme playing in the background.

    "Descent" Director’s Cut

The CW has finally released a sneak peek clip for 7×16, “Descent”, where Lex Luthor trully becomes The Villian of the Story.

That was dark. Sadistic way of “killing yourself”. There’s no doubt in my mind that Lionel will die.

    Ray Park on Snake Eyes

Since the images of Ray Park as Snake Eyes have come out, another GEEK podcast has interviewed the short lived Sith about that very subject. Here the highlights.

Most recently, though, he has been cast as the black ninja (and always the
hardest toy to find in stores) known as Snake Eyes in the upcoming GI Joe live
action movie. When I bring it up, he lights up like a kid who wore that toy’s
joints out as much as you and I did:

One of the reasons I always wanted to play Snake Eyes is because I played
as him when I was a kid. Star Wars fans and the fans I’ve met at conventions
have said “You’d be the best Snake Eyes ever if they did a GI Joe movie!” So
when I heard they were actually going to do it I did everything possible to try
and get in a meeting or try and get an audition cause i wasnted to do it for
myself, I wanted to do it for the fans and I wanted to do it for my cousins and
all my nephews and my kids. It’s great to be here and to be able to tell those
    stories.

Ray Park didn’t seem to think he would get the role, and besides there’s isn’t really any acting required to play the mute ninja of G.I. Joe.

So that was your favorite GI Joe character?

That and Storm Shadow, believe it or not. I actually liked Storm Shadow a
lot because whenever you saw a ninja movie with a white ninja or a red ninja. He
always looked different…and I like Snake Eyes because he was different as
well. He was a commando. He reminded me of the British special forces – the SAS.
That’s why I like that kind of stuff.

I’ve always been fascinated by anything special forces, you know? Anything
that’s military, or warrior or…really just anything to do with weapons.
Especially traditional weapons. I loved [them] as a kid.

There has to be a big climatic martial arts fight between Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes.

And you also got to wield the coolest lightsaber in the Star Wars universe.

I’m very very lucky. They’re all coming around. My childhood dreams. I’m
grateful to my parents and my martial arts teachers and anyone that’s been in my
life that has actually had the patience to help me and to guide me. Even if it
was a small bit here and there, I’ve taken that, and I’ve learned a good lesson
    from it.

Darth Maul was an awesome villain that was sadly a short presence in the Star Wars saga. The double lightsaber was a cool weapon, but I still prefer the single. Anakin should’ve killed Maul at the beginning of Episode III, Obi Wan have a final battle with Count Dooku, and Grievious should’ve died in The Clone Wars.
