    Witwer on Doomsday

EOnline intervewed the actor slated to play the monster that kills Superman or pre-Man of Steel in this case.

Well, in our version, in our interpretation of the character, there are very
specific reasons. I can’t really go into them, but what I can tell you is the
character’s name is Davis Bloome. He’s a paramedic in Metropolis, he’s very good
at his job, and he was raised in the foster system. He went from home to
home—he’s this survivor character, and he’s kind of an outsider. But he’s a
really nice guy, really cool guy.

Not digging where the character is going to be starting off. Maybe they can still reveal halfway through the season that he’s an undercover agent.

The article goes on to say that Davis develops a “friendship” with Chloe. I see an entirely pointless relationship on the horizon.

Yeah, eventually this character will embark on a quest to find out why these
blackouts are happening, and what he discovers is horrifying for the character,
and hopefully horrifying for the audience. The producers, I don’t know if they
saw me in The Mist or in Dexter, but they approached me for the role, and they
pitched a very interesting idea, and they wanted to get dark with it. Like
darker than anything than anything that’s been on the show. They want to get
    really psychologically messed-up.

It better be more then a psychotic break, like he’s skin changing color, a skeletal structure developing on his body, and a lust for violence.

    Red Sonya Posters

New posters have come out from the upcoming movie.

I choose the one on the right, it’s badass, period. Slash Film also had this to say.

Rodriguez also went on to explain that the film would be very dark, following more along the lines of the novels than the comics. The most important difference between this incarnation and the original, however, came courtesy of Rose McGowan, who noted, “I wont have a mullet.”

From what I’ve remember about the original film, the actress that played Conan’s squeeze was the villain. There was a little Chinese prince trying to wed the lead (which is creepy) and his goofball servant. Last but not least, Arnold as a guest star.

This has the possibility of being a good heroine film, but I’m not putting hopes up too high.

    Marvel Studio Updates

Marvel had their panel at the con, they briefly updated on their project situations.

Feige also affirmed that The Incredible Hulk lived up to their expectations andthe response from the audience was generally good, and he said that the Hulk will certainly return.

Letterier’s film succeeded my expectations, can’t wait to see where the story goes. They set it up for The Leader creating more growtesk creatures from Banner’s DNA.

It certainly seems like Thor and Ant-Man will be the movies that Marvel Studios will be focusing on for the rest of the year from the way they were paired together in the slides and mentioned, but maybe that’s just this writer’s speculation. (Yeah, probably.) He wasn’t able to comment on whether Jon Favreau is officially signed to Iron Man 2 (so basically, that holding pattern continues to hold.)

I thought the issue was cleared up months ago. Marvel is going to take another chance with Thor, it’s a grand epic that surpasses Lord of The Rings. Despite not looking forward to Ant-Man as we’ve mentioned on the podcast, as long as it’s entertaining, I don’t mind.

Dr. Doom won’t be in the Avengers movie since he’s part of the 20th Century Fox contract with Marvel, though he couldn’t say whether he might be in future “Avengers” sequel. (Of course, this all depends on whether Marvel ever gets those characters back from Fox.)

I felt Doom was portrayed correctly in the last FF movie, I do agree they should pick somebody else, ether Ultron or The Chitauri.

    Punisher Footage

    Shown from the Comic Con.

There might be some substance, but it still looks like a bland action movie. Aside from the song’s cool beat and melody, Jigsaw looked nasty, like right out of a horror movie.

    Barrowman as Cap?

Since Comic Con has started today, the news has been running loose.
Report has come out that another actor maybe in running to play The Star Spangled Avenger.

He smiled and gave the stock answer that he’d love to play the character and
that Captain America has always been his favorite comic book superhero. Clearly,
though, the notion did not take him by surprise and he ended up admitting there
had been discussions with his agents and meetings on that very issue.

Not nothing the show or the actor, I watched a clip of him, from what I saw, he has the qualities to play Steve Rogers, even though I’m still behind Brad Pitt or if all else fails, Matt Damon.

    Transformers 2 Logo

Paramount has released the logo on their official website. To comment on the title, I’ll still address it as the sequel, like I didn’t think much of the latest Hellboy’s title. Sounds like a rejected title from Revenge of the Sith.

To speculate on it, sounds like they’ll be bringing in more Deceptions then Autobots, which is good cause it ups the anty. Maybe Blackarachnia is still possible.

    Star Trek Posters

EW has released a sneak peek at four new posters for Star Trek that will be appear at the Comic Con.

Eric Bana has badass alien written all over. As for the others, Zachary Quinto looks exactly like a young Nimoy, weird to see him play the hero for a change then his power hungry character on NBC show. I have to see footage of Jimmy Bennett and Zoe Saldana to give a full opinion.
Going what I’ve seen so far looks really good, the tone seems very grim and realistic then glamorous over the top scifi.
    CCOOONNNN!!!!!!!!!!

    Turtles in 2010?

According to Playmates Toys that another live action adaptation of the ninja turtles in a half shell.

Following the success of the ‘TMNT’ theatrical release in 2007, Mirage
licensing and Imagi studios have begun work on a new live-action TMNT film for
2010. It’s the turtles like you’ve never seen them before! Shellalicious!

First off why would a toy company being making this kind of claim and second this so sounds like complete bullshit.

The thing with the turtles in real life that I remember was that awful show from the 90’s that introduced a female and light green bandana sister and brother.

In short I’m not digging this idea at all, if it were true.
