    "Plastique" Trailer

As Rob reminded me, Plastique is portrayed as the villain she is. I definitely dig the take of her character having the power to blow things up as opposed to using exploding devices like in Task Force X of JLU, this season feels like it’s setting itself up for Cadmus or Lex’s plan to develop a Secret Society.

    Billy Idol in T2?

MTV brought up some interesting trivia about Terminator 2.

Back when Cameron was figuring out what he wanted for the first “Terminator” sequel, Kramer walked into his office to look at the storyboards. “I was like, “Jim, these storyboards look just like Billy Idol!’” Kramer recalled. “And he was like, ‘Yeah, he was my first pick.’ But Billy had gotten into a motorcycle accident and broke his leg, so it didn’t work out, because he would have to be in lean running shape.”

That would’ve been weird to see, it would’ve dated the film even more (nothing against him) he definitely has the menace down, but Robert Patrick nailed that role.

    Smallville "Odyssey" Director’s Cut

The CW has released a clip from the Season 8 premiere.

Clark/Tom looks older then past seasons, him holding his own without power (convenient) and Oliver using his future sidekick’s real name as an alias are the good points, but my question is (like Bruce Wayne) wouldn’t the thugs know who he really is?

    Housewife in Avengers?

LA Times are speculating that Desperate Housewifes’ Eva Langoria is in negotiations to play The Wasp in Earth’s Mightest Heroes’ follow-up feature.

Eva Longoria of “Desperate Housewives” fame was photographed leaving the L.A. offices of Marvel Studios clutching a business card and some comic books in her hand. The comic book on top? That would be a copy of the Avengers.

With the way her career has panned out since the show has been not well, starring in low rate comedies.

My choice for Janet Pym would be and this a stretch, but since they’ve gone with Ultimate Nick Fury in Iron Man, I’d say Lucy Liu. She’s doing direct to DVD crap, that leaves her open as a candidate.

    No Copplepot for Hoffman

According to MTV, Phillip Seymour Hoffman of course, denies this rumor casting.

“No one has talked to me about it ever — never,” replied Hoffman. “It
happened, like, five years ago, too. It was a rumor back then and it’s still a
rumor. [laughs] It’s just in the press. It’s funny.”

To further cement this issue, Hoffman added that he’d never met Nolan
(”Maybe I did or met him in passing?”) and that his interest in comic book
movies is purely on a fan level, and he intended to keep it that way.

That’s a shame, this was the only casting talk I agreed on, the rest are easily replaceable. I mentioned on the podcast, unintentional, when Rob was thinking of Hoffman, second choice would be Bob Hoskins, if you look at Hollywoodland, Hoskins was a cold hearted gangster working in the picture business and especially in Jet Lee’s Unleashed, he was ruthless.
