    Norrington To Direct Crow Reboot?

Rob, you might get pissed at this one. According to Variety, first Blade director is set to revamp The Crow franchise.

For Norrington, “The Crow” deal marks the end of a long screen sabbatical. After making his breakthrough with the Marvel Comics hero “Blade,” Norrington took on a big-budget comic transfer with “The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.” Neither the director nor his star, Sean Connery, has made a film since.

If Stephen hadn’t made that abortion of Alan Moore’s novel, I’d be semi-interested. Don’t bother. The first one starring the too-early Brandon Lee was a great dark, sad, forbodding film, the sequels were unnecessary, and never followed the TV show. So what’s the point?

    Hulk Versus Trailer

We said towards the end of our review of Young Avengers, that the next feature in Marvel’s line looks even better with slugfest after slugfest. While fighting aside, there’s story going on.

More useage of X-Men characters in Wolverine, with Lady Deathstrike, Sabertooth, and Omega Red. With the plot of the government recuiting mutants to capture The Hulk for expermentation and weapons applications.

On the flip side, the preview for Thor, confirms what was in the official description (and in speculation), that Loki plays a hand in The Green Goliath’s rampage of Asgard. So overall, epic is how I describe it. I’ll buy it as soon as it comes out in January.

    "Legion/Bulletproof" Promo

The CW is picking up speed for Smallville‘s return next month.

Minus Lana’s presence, it looks action packed. The Legion with their flight rings, Lightning Lad about to call Clark Superman, Chloiac owning Kal-El, Doomsday, and an insight into Mercy’s background of being a stray.

    McAdams in Sherlock Holmes

Just Jared has posted images of Rachel on the set of Guy Richie’s verison of the famous detective.

As I’ve mentioned on the Iron Man commentary, McAdams is a good actress from Red Eye and Wedding Crashers. A different role she’s taking up as a femme fatale from the hometown of Jersey.

With Jude Law in, I’m a little skeptic. If this is supposed to be a prequel, I think the roles should be reversed. A middle aged Holmes and a young Watson doesn’t make sense to me.

    Dragonball Trailer

Dumb, the title and this movie. Chow Yun Fat is Chow Yun Fat not Master Roshi and the Kamehameha Wave reference doesn’t change a thing.

    Second T4 Trailer

Generic. I’m not sold with Bale as John Connor. The machine at the end looked lame, reminds of Laserbeak.

    Nolan on Batman’s Future

With the DVD out tommorrow, USA Today talked to Chris Nolan about the future of the franchise.

“Nolan says he is jotting notes and doing some rough outlines for a third story, but he hasn’t yet found anything he’s willing to commit to film, despite Warner Bros.’ eagerness to get a new film underway.

It was obvious when the box office was so big ($530 million domestically) that we had underestimated how ready fans were to reboot the franchise,” he says.

The worst thing you could do now that you’ve gotten the plane back in the air
    is mess up the landing.”

Truer Words, Nolan. Off air, Rob claims that since Ledger’s passing (unintentionally) the franchise is dead cause no other villain in the rogues gallery can top Batman’s main adversary. While there’s some truth in that, I disagree.
