    "Reinforcement" Talkback

The episode was light in tongue and cheek. Literally, Parker burns it on hot coco and for half of the fight scene with The Sinister Five, he talks like in The Godfather. Nice characterization on Octavius reforming, but the tentacles find it’s host once again.

But overall, filler. No development on who The Master Planner is or Tombstone continuity. It seems like the quality of this show dropped a little.

    Predator Reboot? No

According to Bloody Disgusting, Troublemaker Studios will produce a reboot for this franchise aswell.

Now here’ the kicker, the pitch being sent around town implies that the reboot will have more than one predator. “In the reboot a team of commandos face down a mysterious race of vicious monsters.” No writer has been attached yet – and there is no script. No word on whether or not Rodriquez will direct, but it seems highly unlikely considering how many projects he has in development.

Keep in mind too that 20th Century Fox is in charge of this situation. So any influence by Rodriquez will be buried, creating another piece of crap like the Alien Versus movies.

    Green Lantern #37

This was a good issue. Geoff Johns knows how to break down a story.
As Hal Jordon and The Blue Lanterns head off to find Sinestro, Hal is still against joining their ranks. Can you really blame him? They talk like occultists.

Jordon takes off to do it alone and confronts his arch enemy, crucified on a stone slap of The Red Lantern insignia. Hal thinks back to the moments in time when they where student and teacher to when they became adversaries. This ultimately causing to take the matter into his own hands.

After Sinestro regains his ring during tripple threat of Yellow, Red, and Blue, he kills a comrade of Hal’s, who against her will converted to Rage, Jordon goes ape shit on him as he puts him into an electric chair to deliver the final blow. But the ring of Laira’s, channels the rage that he feels, and bonds with him to become one of The Reds. Great ending.

Next issue is the conclusion. Seemed rather short, but then again I don’t read the side stories. Can’t wait to see Jordon go renegade once again as Atrocitius foretold.

Character Look-Alikes: Silk Spectre II / Ms. Tessmacher

My brother and I mentioned this after having seen the second Watchmen trailer. Malin Akerman (the second Silk Spectre) and Valerie Perrine (Ms. Tachmacher from Superman: The Movie) look alike. Much so then Carlo Gugino who plays her mother (the first Silk Spectre).

    "Bulletproof" Review

Late I know. Last week was a decent episode until the lousy ending. First, The Good. Detective John Jones in the opening teaser was awesome. Even better, Clark Kent going undercover in the Metropolis P.D. with future inspector, Dan Turpin.

The story is straight forward. Right from the beginning you know who did it. For having a small role back in Season 1, David Paetkau pulled off the hard edge but with a good heart very well. Similar to Bart Allen learns the error of his ways.

Finally, a scene with Green Arrow, Boyscout, and Martian Manhunter in one room. Glad Phil Morris had more screentime then in previous seasons. Cause this really was a centric for him.

The schematics of Lex’s battle suit from Promethesis was a susprise. Loved how they brought it into the show. Probably not until the season or series finale we’ll get to see The Man of Steel’s arch enemy in all his clad glory.

Chloe being protective of her cousin’s feelings for her best friend was nice. Allison Mack delivers the lines very bitterly. Maybe Chloe remembers what Clark did to her in Abyss when she was possessed by Brainiac.

Now The Bad. Out of nowhere, Turpin runs out into the line of fire and get’s shot. That’s pretty stupid. The subplot with Drama Queen is still wasting screentime. Just like Legion, we were subjected to more smoke out her ass of how great of a person she is. Which tommorrow night will prove that all false. While in my opinion she was owning the catfight, I still don’t like this version of Luthor’s bodyguard. She fell to the whims of DQ.

Lastly The Ugly, Clana at the end. Why? WHY? WHY?! I understand for closure purpose, but Clark’s character went backwards again. Another BDA moment. Despite all that, it’s still decent.

    Rating: 6 1/2

    Smallville "Power" Director’s Cut

This is “Wrath” from Season 7 all over again! My expectations have dropped severely. The reality is as long as this show is on the air, she’ll never go away.

    JLA: World War III

I might as well start reviewing the graphic novels I read in my daily life.

After Mark Waid talked about the climax of this storyline on The New Frontier DVD, I thought this would be a decent read. The main problem is Grant Morrison. Should have been more aware of this after the R.I.P. train wreck. There’s too many plots going on that makes it complicated for a reader to follow. Plus there’s too much nonsensical dialogue.

A noticeable coloring mistake is Oracle goes from being a redhead to a brunette by the time Prometheus confronts her in The Clocktower. The moments of citizens having superpowers is brief and an overall disappointment. This wasn’t worth my time or money. Hopefully the next book on my list, Batman: Prodigal is.
