Smallville “Requiem” in 5 Seconds

As if “Power” was worse already, last night’s episode went even farther.

After Infinite Crisis, Prime has become one of my favorite DC villians. In this, he wants to not just destroy the heroes of the 31st Century, but to destroy Superman’s reputation aswell.
The climax is what the title says. Legions from the Multiverse come together to stop this threat that becomes too much them for them to handle. So the three Brainiac Fives resort to a contingency plan.
The cliffhanger is the deceased Bart Allen aka Kid Flash returning from The Speed Force to once again imprison the out of control teenager back into the extradimensional realm. Aside from Mark Waid, with The Red Lanterns and this, Geoff Johns is one of the best writers. Plus George Perez with his epic artwork.

Despite the spots already up online, I’d rather see them during the game. Here the highlights.
The non-movie spots that had me cracking up. I think the guy after the older one throws the globe in vender says “What the fuck? Are you high?”
No spot for Wolverine though. Not that shocking to me Fox missed an opportunity for advertisement.

Finally got around to seeing this film and holy crap, that was a very good film. It starts with Rourke washed up, but making his way the best he can with himself and the people around him. Especially on Marisa Tomei as the stripper. As the movie goes on he suffers a heart attack after a brutal match in a ECW fashion, taking the doctor’s advice decides to retire before a big rematch.
While he tries to get more work at the supermarket, he tries to make up with his lesbian daughter. As it looks like they’ve reconciled, his lifestyle gets the best of him and the second half progresses into a spiril roller coaster of emotion, sadness, and Randy going back to the only aspect of his life that gives him all the love. Ending with his final match.
Until the drive back home, the “going out triumphant” actually hit me. Cause again it was an emotional ride. The ending was absolutely depressing. This was the flipside of the last Rocky film. Very surreal. Nothing is sugarcoated, which is a good thing.
Rating: 9 1/2

Columbia Pictures is gearing up for GHOST RIDER 2, the sequel to the smash-hit comic book adaptation from 2007 that saw Nicolas Cage as a stunt motorcyclist Johnny Blaze who gives up his soul to become a hellblazing vigilante, to fight against power hungry Blackheart, the son of the devil himself.
I prefer of course the DCAU verison of this villian. A child who’s old man was screwed by the mob and was never adopted like a little toy that noboby wanted as he says to Lois in the Superman episode “Fun and Games”. Who wears a creepy ventriloquist dummy mask and is psychotic, more up Batman’s alley then The Man of Steel. Or in this case, The Big Dumb Alien.
Who knows? Maybe this heavyweight can pull it off in “Requiem”, when he attempts to kill Oliver Queen.

The only good scene out the entire horseshit that was “Girl Power 2”. With Graves falling into Drama Queen’s influence in “Bulletproof”, I gave up on the character. But after this, Damn. Cause no matter what she does, she’s like Luthor.

IMDB confirms Mark Hamill as the voice of The Joker. In some points in the trailer, it sounds like he’s doing an Kevin Michael Richardson impression from The Batman. Which isn’t a bad thing, I enjoy that version. But only in the traditional purple vest then the zangy colored straitjacket. Always pleasant to hear Conroy as The Dark Knight.

Being a fan of ThatGuywiththeGlasses, I’ve decided to take a crack at the 5 Second Movies. This is from last night’s most frustrating episode of Smallville I’ve ever seen in my entire life!!!
