    Suicide Squad Gets A Movie

Variety is reporting that another DC property is getting a treatment. This time it’s the government based supervillians.

In a departure from normal comic-based fare, “Suicide Squad” concentrates on a group of incarcerated supervillains rather than the usual focus on superheroes. The first version of the squad debuted in a 1959 DC Comic, and a series was launched in 1987.

Stephen Gilchrist from Lin Pictures will co-produce. Justin Marks(“20,000 Leagues Under the Sea,” “Hack/Slash,” “Street Fighter”) is penning the screenplay.

This just has bad news written all over it. I see no reason for it. The only thing that would semi-excited me would be casting CCH Pounder as Amanda Waller, who voiced the character during the C.A.D.M.U.S. story arc in JLU.

    Jackson Sticks Around

According to Variety, we won’t see the last of Mr. Motherf##ker afterall.

The actor, who just weeks ago was seemingly on the outs with the studio
over reprising his role as Nick Fury, agent of spy outfit S.H.I.E.L.D., has
signed an unprecedented nine-picture deal to play the character in a series of
    Marvel movies.

The movies include “Iron Man 2,” “Thor,” “Captain America,” “The Avengers” and it’s sequels.

Awesome. They’ll definitely give him more stuff to do in this film cycle then last time. With the Russians tackling Stark in the next one, Fury will bunt heads. Especially with Steve Rogers and Goldilocks in their films. Hope Rourke’s casting gets cleared up soon. Is it gonna be in it, Yes or No?

    Hurt The DQ Initiation

Came across this on YouTube, I couldn’t resist. A compilation reward for what we had to suffer from Kristen Kreuk and the show’s creators on this pitful interpretation of Clark Kent’s first love. Thanks go to GreatWhiteSnark.

    The Rock is Race

Cinematical confirms that Johnson is starring in a live action Jonny Quest as the aged bodyguard.

Dwayne Johnson is definitely Bannon, and Efron is in line to play Jonny,
although he’s not a lock due to Efron’s advanced, 17-year-old age. While I can
see the allure, that’s a big change to add into the mix.

By the casting and his starring role in the upcoming Race to Witch Mountain, this movie is heading towards a kid friendly direction. I prefer it be taken seriously like the 90’s cartoon that came out on DVD today.

Overall, this isn’t Rock’s role. But then again, I became sold on the idea of him playing Black Adam in the Shazam movie.

    Transformers 2 Teaser

An extended version of the Superbowl spot.

While the spectacle is great. Unfortunately some of the unnecessary humans are back like John Turturro and Alice, the failed computer fiend. Nothing against the actress who played her in the first one, but it was not her role and the character and her sidekick didn’t need to be there.

    Wolverine Spot

Origin references of Thomas Logan and Elizabeth Howlett are nice. But the dialouge is just bland with young Creed saying with have to stick together. Wished they played up the abused angle cause that’s the reason for Sabertooth’s savagery.

    Weapon Brown

At NYCC, I noticed this comic at one of the booths. Post Apocalyptic Charlie Brown is an interesting concept.

While Schulz’s creation is classic. Watching the cartoons over the years, aside from Linus, he has the worst friends in the world that sometimes you think why can’t he just get fed up with their shit and say “F You, Guys”? Talking to the distributor, we both saw eye to eye on this issue with the Peanuts. Flipping through the first issue, I conveniently landed on the panel where Lucy finally gets what she deserves.

    Smallville "Infamous" Promo

Tori Spelling pulls The Goblin’s monologue from Spider-Man. Clark will use the Legion ring to clean the slate. That would make me mad cause it would just be another tease that didn’t matter. But reading spoilers again, Identity and Turbulence could actually mean something to Clark’s character to move forward again after that atrocious DQ arc.
