    Smallville "Infamous" Director’s Cut

With the preview clip below, The CW have released another.

Clark looks like he’s got his balls back on, after they were ripped off by DQ’s return. I’d like to pretend that period didn’t happen and it looks like that’s what the producers are doing aswell.

But with Season 9 in the future, I wouldn’t be suprised they bring her back to once again drag the show out even farther then it should’ve. About the clip itself, Martha Kent would definitely have a big problem with this incident.

    Smallville “Infamous” Preview

Finally something from next week’s new Smallville episode during this hiatus has come out.

Great to have Durance back as Lois Lane. With the “You may have forgotten me, but the news world didn’t.” line, she’s giving Clark the cold shoulder. Which he deserves after the last two clusterf**ks with you know who.

Nice reference to the events in “Sneeze” and “Identity”, despite me not being to fond of them. Cause one was about Lexana more then Clark gaining a power and the other was a Superman tease.

    Green Lantern #38

Continues where the last issue left off. As The Red Lantern’s influence takes over Hal Jordan’s mind, Atrocitus explains that without a Green Lantern around, The Blue Lanterns are left defenseless. But Saint Walker proves him wrong by showing his willpower of dodging the ensuing battle by giving Jordon a blue ring to counteract The Crimson Fire. Crossed between two power sources, Hal uses them against The Red’s leader. He asks what’s happening to him to which Walker has no answer.

A subplot on Earth involves Jordon quitting Carrol Ferris’ airline business. She flys off in his craft to be alone, but is taken over by The Star Sapphire once again.

Another sidestory is survived Guardians, that were presumed dead after the Sinestro War, are planting the seeds for Blackest Night. One continues to bleed into The Book of The Black fortelling the future while another has taken hold of an orange ring, setting up the next comic.

Good read from Geoff Johns as always. Time is still there for anyone who’s not following to jump onboard before the big event happens.

    GL Sneak Peek

My brother and I watched the Wonder Woman feature that came out today. It was freaking amazing. Definitely lived up to the buzz at the New York Comic Con. We’ll talk more about it for this week show.

The next one starring The Emerald Crusader is raising the bar even higher. Sidenote, Michael Madsen as Kilowog is just pure genius. I can’t wait to see this.

Spider-Man in Continuity with The Marvel Movie Universe?

While it wasn’t produced by Marvel Studios, the first film suggests that it’s part of the larger world that said company established in Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk.

Oscorp competed against Quest Aerospace, which is owned by Stark Enterprises, to develop Performance Enhancements for the military that Thunderbolt Ross would’ve looked into besides Bruce Banner and Columbia University’s genetic spiders as early phases for the Super Soldier program. Very similar to the Ultimate version where everything connects.

    Batman / Superman #55

The description of The Dark Knight with Kal-El’s abilities caught my attention. However The Man of Steel is once again powerless. It happened in Infinite Crisis and constantly on Smallville so much that it’s become common place to me.

Of course it becomes to much, even for The Caped Crusader’s mind as he sets out to fulfill his goals on the larger scale. Almost killed Bane and choking Catwoman to death in the process. But Nightwing intervenes, coming out of it with his life, barely.

Back in the cave, Alfred questions if he can forgive his master and adopted son for his current actions. But Clark and Zatanna are determined to find Silver Banshee to reverse the spell. The issue ends with Pennyworth giving Kent a Superbat outfit to use for the confrontation with the superpowered vigilante.

Having read Public Enemies and watching her appearances in JLU. I always thought Banshee was just a sonic screamer and not a sorceress. But aside from that, can’t wait to read the conclusion to of this story that slipped passed me. When it’s finished, I’ll definitely come back to it in graphic novel format.

    Robin #183

Highlight comes with Tim Drake thinking one step ahead of Lady Shiva. Showing why he’s a contender in the upcoming Battle for The Cowl.

This issue breaks the fourth wall by having the title of the story literally on a letter a supporting character is reading. But why would Jason Todd be in Bruce Wayne’s will to begin with? Since his return as The Red Hood, he shouldn’t even be considered at all for the mantle of Batman.

A little side story with Drake catching his mother’s killer with some internal struggle about killing him is nice closing. Ending with a Guardian bleeding into The Book of The Dead. How this is gonna tie in with Blackest Night, it’s too early in the game.

Can’t wait for next month with Watchmen hitting theaters and Wonder Woman in stores the day after my birthday.

    First Look at Zatanna

TV Guide gives us a glimpse of bombshell Serinda Swan as The Mistress of Magic.

As everyone has said, this is about as accurate to the comic as you can get. Right down to the leggings. Spoilers from the latest issue of Smallville Magazine indicate that she’s on a one woman mission to bring her father back from the dead and Kryptonsite claiming spells will be cast on Clark with his identity to Chloe and Lois switching bodies. Either way this sounds like it’s going to be a very entertaining heroine episode that “Siren” wasn’t.
