    Iron Man 2 Set Video

Nothing particular showy, just glimpses of Favreau and some of the cast members. Camera Guy is pressing his luck. One compliment is enough, but twice is pushing it.

Agreed! Robert was cool enough to acknowledge him once, all we need now is another Christian Bale incident…

    Green Lantern: First Flight Trailer

The animation looks stunning, almost in the vain of Batman: Gotham Knight. While it’s cool to see Sinestro in his Yellow Corps uniform, Hal Jordan is given the ring by Abin Sur, he looks too bulky. Similar to the same issue I had with Wolverine in Hulk Versus. Other then that this feature looks awsome.

    From Rorschach to Freddy

According to Variety, the nutcase inkplot himself, Jackie Earl Haley is going to play The Springwood Slasher in the upcoming 1984 remake.

Jackie Earle Haley is going to Elm Street, signing to star as iconic killer Freddy Krueger in New Line and Platinum Dunes‘ relaunch of “A Nightmare on Elm Street.”

The relaunch comes on the heels of New Line and Platinum Dunes’ rebirth of another horror franchise,
“Friday the 13th,” which has grossed $65 million domestically since its launch on Friday, Feb. 13.

Michael Bay is producing this aswell. While the Friday The 13th remake was entertaining, it’s far from the original as quality goes. But I’ll still go see it with this casting news, regardless.

    Flash Rebirth #1

The other event that DC advertised at the New York Comic Con has hit the stands.

First off, bringing back The Silver Age speedster cheapens his death in the first Crisis. Same can be said for Hal Jordon being up and about after the Parallax incident. It’s doesn’t move the universe forward, but backwards instead.

But this first issue does a decent job with it’s monologues and flashbacks to explain the character’s mythos to bring new readers up to speed on what’s going on right now, no pun intended.

At the same time, I don’t buy in the beginning, how convenient the lighting bolt strikes at Mysterious Person at the right time and place at the right moment when the cops are about to arrest him for murder, so the electro chemical addicent to work again.

    Clash of the Titans Info

Gemma Arterton who’s playing a goddess named Lo spoke to Empire Online about the remake of the Ray Harryhausen classic.

Sam Worthington is on board as Perseus (pick up the new issue of Empire for
exclusive quotes from the Avatar/Terminator Salvation star), while Liam Neeson was reputed to have been offered the role of Zeus. However, given his current tragic circumstances, it’s not yet known if he will commit to the role.

“The script is very different,” she continued. “Obviously the story is the story, but it’s much more about Perseus’ mission, and how he deals with being the son of Zeus, and things like that, so it feels a little more about him, andabout the issues around that.”

Worthington has the looks like Harry Hamlin did in the original. Hopefully he can hide his thick Australian accent to a clear strong confident voice.

The description here worries me, cause I think most of the audience don’t want an hour and a half of Perseus whining and complaining about his heritage like we had to endure with Clark Kent on Smallville.

    New Ghostbusters

Egon Spengler himself, Harold Ramis has spoken to MTV about what we should expect from this third installment.

Ramis promised that all the old core players will take part in the updated version, including Bill Murray (Dr. Peter Venkman) and Dan Aykroyd (Dr. Raymond Stantz), who co-wrote the original films. “We’re all going to be in it in different kinds of roles,” Ramis said. “We’re going to be the sage mentors. There are going to be young Ghostbusters.”

As of now, no decisions have been made about just who those new Ghostbusters will be. But with Judd Apatow signed on as a producer, the Internet has been buzzing with gossip that comedians from his cinematic universe, such as Paul Rudd and Seth Rogen, will join in.

I don’t find Seth to be that funny. He was humorous with Steve Carnell, Paul Rudd, in 40 Year Old Virgin, and co-starring with Bill Hader in Superbad. But since then I just haven’t been a fan of his. I feel he’s been over exposed and I’m sure as hell am not gonna see his slapstick Green Hornet film.

The idea of “new guys” doesn’t work for with me. I liked to see a Big Last Hurrah movie like Rocky Balboa, were the original cast are center stage and not on the sidelines with other people like Egon was in the 90’s cartoon, Extreme Ghostbusters.
