    “Injustice” Official Description

The synopsis of the supervillians’ debut hits Kryptonsite.

    DC COMICS CHARACTER PLASTIQUE RETURNS
WITH FRIENDS — Chloe (Allison Mack) returns and begs Clark (
Tom Welling) to kill Davis (Sam Witwer), claiming he can no longer keep the beast under control. Tess (Cassidy Freeman) has assembled a team of meteor freaks, including Plastique (guest star Jessica Parker Kennedy), to track down Davis so Clark can kill him. However, things get out of hand once Tess’ team discovers she is double-crossing them. Aaron Ashmore and Justin Hartley also star. Tom Welling directed the episode written by Al Septien & Turi Meyer.

I wasn’t big on Jessica’s performance of the character from that episode or the short lived climax. The producers wrote that one, so maybe with Septien and Meyer on board, she’ll be less annoying and more of a villian by displaying more of her explosive abilities.

A reminder, Parasite and Livewire are in this aswell. They need the screen time they deserve in duking out with Red Blue Blur.

    Bart is Back

New spoilers on Kryptonsite reveal that despite landing another role in the Elm Street remake, Kyle Gallner still has time to make a returning guest star appearence for the season finale.

It’s a good sign the producers are using the powerful members of both the JLA and The Legion to fight Doomsday. No offense, but I can’t see Aquaman helping out much being the fish out of water character.

Despite these exciting updates like the demolished Metropolis set photos, the return of Black Canary, and The Watchtower’s debut. The fear is they’ll compress that for more Davis/Chloe scenes. Because during “Eternal”, I got tired of it by the end of the episode got too sappy.

Until “Beast” airs the week after “Stiletto” next week, I believe Davis died in the Kryptonite cage and the monster is now the dominant personality until the truth comes out. Unfornately, it’s too late, kills Chloe right in front of Clark, and ends with the big battle which better pay off.

    "Beast" Official Description

Kryptonsite have released The CW’s synopsis for 8×20.

DAVIS ASKS CHLOE TO LEAVE TOWN WITH HIM — Clark (Tom Welling) discovers that Davis (Sam Witwer) is still alive and confronts Chloe (Allison Mack) about protecting him. Oliver (Justin Hartley) discovers Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore) breaking into Chloe’s apartment, but things get rapidly worse after Davis jumps from the shadows and attacks both of them. Michael Rohl directed the episode written by Genevieve Sparling.

After paving the road to hell with good intentions, that will cost Chloe her life by the time the season finale airs. This sounds like more filler before last two episodes that I’m certainly looking forward to. But to be optimistic, Rohl directed “Bizarro” and Sparling wrote “Progeny”, which was entertaining and had it’s moments, so it could still be decent.

I think you gotta admit though, Smallville’s been pretty dark in general this season as far as the script’s concerned. I think every episode with Davis involves someone ending up in either a dumpster or buried underground. We just need to see some more physical stuff with Clark. Even so, though there hasn’t been as much action, they have been making it up generously by pushing Clark more and more into his ‘Superman’ role. My question is, at some-point are we going to hear the name Superman again? Or are we developing an entirely different superhero here; the “Red-Blue Blur”.

Crusading Knight of YouTube made a valid point that Clark already died back in Season 5. If the producers want to do The Death of Superman, he has to go out a hero in the grand sense.

    Punisher ’89

I was talking to Michael Sims on Facebook yesterday about this franchise.

Having seen the Thomas Jane film countless times and the Ray Stevenson one only a few, I watched the first one with Dolph Lundgren last night. Haven’t seen it in a long time, intially it wasn’t bad. Much better then the 90’s Captain America flick. Lundgren does a decent job of playing the different sides to Frank Castle but at one point slips into a Stallone impression with his performance.

It still has problems like the bum sidekick that cracks a rhyme while pleading for him to rescue The Mob’s children. Like Stevenson, decides to give his mission a break. Which we mentioned in our War Zone review, something the character would never do because it’s the major part of his insanity which has gotten lost in these movies that got ridiculous by the last one.

Thomas Jane might have been a little more conservative than the comics, but I think he made the character more digestible and likable to those who never really had interest in the Punishers comics. I like how he protected his make-shift family of weirdos in the film. He was like Batman meets Elvis or something. Lol.

Superman: World of New Krypton #2

Being the commander of the military forces of General Zod, The Man of Steel attempts to teach his assigned Kryptonians the human morals and principles to perserve life rather then take it. Even when there rattled by visions of fear in the wilderness of the planet, they prevail by trapping a herd of Triceratop creatures called Thought-Beasts into a deep hole by use of their Heat Vision, but still abide to the old ways.

Just like Earth, one problem is solved, another begins. The art guild takes Aunt Allura and other members of the science division hostage. A soldier from Zod’s unit takes action and Jor-el’s arch enemy allows the slaughter to happen if a line is crossed.

While the art is not the greatest in the world, artist Pete Woods models Zod of Saddam Hassen like Ivan Reis draws Sinestro after Adolf Hitler. My problem is Allura looks too much like Kara that she looks like a twin sister then a mother.

The Orange Lanterns have risen. Beings called The Controllers, but look like poor man versions of The Watchers locate the battery deep underground the planet, Okaara. But are devoured by the corps that’s fueled by the power of greed.

Hal Jordon continues to reject the influence of Hope, as he believes in Courage that allows him to do something for what he believe in. So he leaves to find Sinestro while trying to call reinforcements. But can’t due to have to rings on each hand. But is pulled back to Oa for the removal of Ganthet and Sayd’s energy on his finger. John Stewart and other Green members interrupt to warn of a threat that comes crashing through their door. Larfleeze wants them to pay for one there own breaking the laws by entering his domain. But The Guardians allow authorization to take part of the battle that’s coming in the next issue which Star Sapphire takes part in.

Still building up the events of In Blackest Night. Geoff Johns very effectively keeps us on the edge of our seats to see what happens.

Batman: Battle for The Cowl #2

A solid issue. Jason Todd is back to “anhilating the problem before it starts” mentality as he did when began as The Red Hood. But Nightwing is floored by the second Robin’s nerve to be donning the mask, after killing their apprehenders. So Jason retaliates by shooting Damien, blank range in the chest as an outcome for what Dick’s perpective, to leave their mentor’s legecy buried in the ground.

While Bruce’s son is instencive care, back in The Cave, he blames himself for not being able to protect him and so on, but Alfred says that’s what Bruce felt aswell. Before Dick makes to the big step, he approaches glass case and discovers that Tim Drake went after him alone. Catwoman and him find the secret base under the subway, but then are attacked. The story ends with a brutal fight which includes a crowbar and ends with a Batarang.

The subplots include the Two-Face/Penguin gang war that was mentioned at the panel of NYCC and Black Mask recuiting Firefly and a psychotic actress that wears a dead cop’s face to assassinate Commissioner Gordon and a short lived District Attorney.

    Scifi’s Phantom

The Ghost Who Walks is getting another film, but not on the big screen. Instead it will air on the low life network that use to be mean something back in the 90’s. Their Wiresite has released concept art of the outfit that actor, Ryan Carnes will be wearing.

First thing that’s wrong with this outfit is there’s two different belts on the waist. It’s like the illustrators can’t make up their minds if they want to go futuristic or stick to the traditional.

Second, there’s too much body armor on the upper body. Third, where the hell is the damn ring? He’s not The Phantom without it. And to top all that, he’s wearing a coat. Why? So overall, this is too far removed from the jungle hero of the pulp comics.

More Clash of the Titans Casting

Variety reports that Liam Neeson might still play Father of Olympus and as an added bonus, Hades will appear aswell, to be played by Ralph Fiennes.

Ralph Fiennes is in advanced negotiations to star as Hades, the lord of the underworld, in helmer Louis Leterrier’s “Clash of the Titans” for Warner Bros.

Liam Neeson is set to co-star as Zeus in the reimagining of the Greek myth of Perseus.

I would understand if Neeson were working to keep his mind off his grief. From his performances in Star Wars, the Narina films, and Batman Begins, I’d expect nothing short of excellent to what Laurence Oliver brought to the role in the original.

Voldermort of the Harry Potter films is the most nasty looking villain I’ve ever seen in a film before. With that kind of accomplishment, Fiennes is gonna tear apart the James Woods version of the character from the Hercules’ Disney film. This news just gets me more excited for this remake.
