More Scream Movies

Continuing the “old turned new” trend going in Hollywood, EW says Ghostface is returning to screens aswell.
The mid-’90s franchise that sent-up slightly older horror flicks is being
remade into a whole new set of movies, starting this fall. Writer-director Kevin Williamson has been working on a trilogy that will bring back many of the characters from the original movies.
Liked the first one. Didn’t watch nor care for the sequels. All I remember was hottie at the time, Sarah Michelle Gellar didn’t survive in that or in I Know What You Did Last Summer.
Haven’t seen Neve Campell since Wild Things. No matter how much they’d pay her, she’ll do it either way. If the Arquettes are the only ones coming back, that just sounds like direct-to-DVD material to me like the surfin’ Lost Boys with Cory Feldman.
Overall, I think this franchise is unnecessary. Because the satire films kept pumping out, the mask lost it’s impact in pop culture as being scary.
