"Beast" Official Description

Kryptonsite have released The CW’s synopsis for 8×20.
DAVIS ASKS CHLOE TO LEAVE TOWN WITH HIM — Clark (Tom Welling) discovers that Davis (Sam Witwer) is still alive and confronts Chloe (Allison Mack) about protecting him. Oliver (Justin Hartley) discovers Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore) breaking into Chloe’s apartment, but things get rapidly worse after Davis jumps from the shadows and attacks both of them. Michael Rohl directed the episode written by Genevieve Sparling.
After paving the road to hell with good intentions, that will cost Chloe her life by the time the season finale airs. This sounds like more filler before last two episodes that I’m certainly looking forward to. But to be optimistic, Rohl directed “Bizarro” and Sparling wrote “Progeny”, which was entertaining and had it’s moments, so it could still be decent.

I think you gotta admit though, Smallville’s been pretty dark in general this season as far as the script’s concerned. I think every episode with Davis involves someone ending up in either a dumpster or buried underground. We just need to see some more physical stuff with Clark. Even so, though there hasn’t been as much action, they have been making it up generously by pushing Clark more and more into his ‘Superman’ role. My question is, at some-point are we going to hear the name Superman again? Or are we developing an entirely different superhero here; the “Red-Blue Blur”.

Crusading Knight of YouTube made a valid point that Clark already died back in Season 5. If the producers want to do The Death of Superman, he has to go out a hero in the grand sense.
