Nolan Takes A Breather

According to Variety, the filmmaker will take a break from the Batman franchise for something else.

In a whopping seven-figure buy, Warner Bros. has nabbed “Inception,” a
script written by Christopher Nolan as his next directing vehicle.

The studio hopes to bring Nolan back for a third Batfilm, but the filmmaker hasn’t yet committed to doing that pic. “Dark Knight” has raked in nearly $1 billion in worldwide B.O. since its release last summer.

After Begins was The Prestige, which I liked. The man has a good sense of workmanship. Last thing we need is for the studio to rush a third one out with Nolan not mentally prepared.
