Green Lantern #37

This was a good issue. Geoff Johns knows how to break down a story.
As Hal Jordon and The Blue Lanterns head off to find Sinestro, Hal is still against joining their ranks. Can you really blame him? They talk like occultists.

Jordon takes off to do it alone and confronts his arch enemy, crucified on a stone slap of The Red Lantern insignia. Hal thinks back to the moments in time when they where student and teacher to when they became adversaries. This ultimately causing to take the matter into his own hands.

After Sinestro regains his ring during tripple threat of Yellow, Red, and Blue, he kills a comrade of Hal’s, who against her will converted to Rage, Jordon goes ape shit on him as he puts him into an electric chair to deliver the final blow. But the ring of Laira’s, channels the rage that he feels, and bonds with him to become one of The Reds. Great ending.

Next issue is the conclusion. Seemed rather short, but then again I don’t read the side stories. Can’t wait to see Jordon go renegade once again as Atrocitius foretold.
